MotoGP 2025 Season Ends with Record 3.6 Million Fans as Bezzecchi Wins Valencia Finale

The 2025 MotoGP season came to a spectacular close on Sunday, with more than 200,000 fans packing the grandstands at Valencia as Marco Bezzecchi powered Aprilia Racing to victory in the final race of the year. The electric atmosphere at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo capped off a landmark season for the sport, which recorded a historic 3.6 million spectators across all events — the highest attendance in MotoGP history.

The surge in fan participation follows MotoGP’s continued global expansion, boosted by an extended 22-round calendar, the success of the Tissot Sprint, and broader fan engagement initiatives. Nine circuits set all-time attendance records in 2025, showcasing MotoGP’s accelerating global appeal and its ability to attract new audiences around the world.

The celebration continued off-track as well, with 2,000 fans attending the prestigious MotoGP Awards ceremony, where Marc Marquez received the MotoGP World Championship trophy. His 2025 campaign is already being hailed as the “greatest sporting comeback in history,” adding further weight to a weekend filled with emotion and milestone achievements.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP, reflected on the historic season:
This season has been extraordinary for MotoGP, with record-breaking crowds and unforgettable racing. Passing 3.6 million attending fans is a milestone that reflects how MotoGP continues to grow globally while staying true to its roots. Valencia was the perfect finale — a year after devastating floods forced us to cancel, our fans turned up in huge numbers each day to show the strength of this community.

With the chequered flag dropped on 2025, the paddock now wastes no time shifting gears. Testing for the 2026 season begins tomorrow, November 18, in Valencia, marking the traditional post-season test where teams debut early prototypes of next year’s bikes.

The 2026 lineup will welcome fresh talent, including Moto2 World Champion Diogo Moreira from Brazil and three-time WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, who makes his much-anticipated full-time debut in the MotoGP class.

With record crowds, iconic storylines, and a finale to remember, MotoGP closes 2025 on a historic high and heads into 2026 with momentum stronger than ever.
