MotoGP 2026: Full Rider–Crew Chief Line-up Revealed as Teams Finalise Key Partnerships
As MotoGP prepares for the highly anticipated 2026 season, attention is not only on the superstar riders but also on the elite crew chiefs working tirelessly behind the scenes. These technical masterminds play a crucial role in translating data into performance, and the new season sees a mix of continuity, fresh pairings and powerful reunions across the grid.
Here’s a comprehensive look at the MotoGP 2026 rider–crew chief line-up, team by team.
Ducati Lenovo Team
Reigning MotoGP Champions Ducati Lenovo Team retain stability at the top. Marc Marquez continues his successful partnership with Marco Rigamonti after their title-winning 2025 campaign. On the other side of the garage, Francesco Bagnaia enters his eighth consecutive season with trusted crew chief Christian Gabbarini, underlining Ducati’s commitment to continuity.
BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP
After finishing runner-up in 2025, Alex Marquez targets the title in 2026 with Donatello Giovanotti once again by his side. Teammate Fermin Aldeguer continues working with Frankie Carchedi, a crew chief with a proven championship pedigree, having guided multiple race winners and champions including Marc Marquez and Joan Mir.
Aprilia Racing
Aprilia retain their successful combinations after a strong 2025. Marco Bezzecchi, who finished third overall last season, continues with Francesco Venturato. Meanwhile, Jorge Martin remains paired with Daniele Romagnoli for a sixth season, following their 2024 title triumph before Martin’s switch to the Noale factory squad.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
Rising star Pedro Acosta stays aligned with Paul Trevathan for 2026. However, a major change sees Brad Binderend his decade-long collaboration with Andres Madrid, instead beginning a new chapter with Phil Marron. Marron returns to MotoGP after nearly a decade, having most recently overseen Toprak Razgatlioglu’s three WorldSBK titles.
Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team
Following a strong 2025 that included four podiums, Fabio Di Giannantonio continues with Massimo Branchini. Teammate Franco Morbidelli, coming off his best season since 2020, also retains continuity with Matteo Flamigni as the Italian aims to build further momentum.
Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP
Yamaha keep their core technical structure intact for the start of their V4 era. Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha’s top finisher in 2025, remains with long-time crew chief Diego Gubellini. Alex Rins also continues unchanged, once again working with David Muñoz.
Trackhouse MotoGP Team
After ending 2025 strongly with a win and a podium in the final races, Raul Fernandez sticks with Noe Herrera. There is also stability on the other side of the garage, as Ai Ogura continues his partnership with Giovanni Mattarollo.
CASTROL Honda LCR
Top Honda rider in 2025, Johann Zarco, continues to rely on David Garcia in 2026. Rookie teammate Diogo Moreira inherits experienced crew chief Klaus Nohles, previously working with Somkiat Chantra.
Honda HRC Castrol
Honda’s factory team also blends experience with continuity. Luca Marini will be guided by Christian Pupulin in his pursuit of a first Honda podium. Joan Mir stays with legendary crew chief Santi Hernandez, the duo having secured multiple podiums in 2025. Hernandez famously worked with Marc Marquez to six MotoGP titles between 2013 and 2019.
Red Bull KTM Tech3
Big changes arrive at Tech3. Enea Bastianini, who endured a challenging 2025, will work with Andres Madrid in 2026. Maverick Viñales retains Manuel Cazeaux as crew chief but gains a major boost off-track, with triple MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo joining as performance coach. The team also enters a transition year following the departure of Hervé Poncharal, welcoming Guenther Steiner into the structure.
Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP
Following championship success with Ducati in 2024 and a learning year with Yamaha in 2025, Pramac continues its evolution. Jack Miller remains partnered with Giacomo Guidotti, while Toprak Razgatlioglu makes his much-anticipated MotoGP debut alongside highly experienced crew chief Alberto Giribuola.
With rider–crew chief pairings finalised, MotoGP 2026 is shaping up to be a season where technical expertise and human synergy could prove just as decisive as raw speed on track.
