Ather Energy Crosses 400 Fast Chargers in Maharashtra, Boosts EV Accessibility
Ather Energy, India’s pioneering electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has achieved a major milestone by crossing 400 Ather Grid fast charging points across Maharashtra. This marks a significant leap forward in the brand’s mission to combat range anxiety and accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption in the state.
The rapidly growing Ather Grid network now spans 35 cities across Maharashtra, including major urban centers like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik, as well as key intercity routes such as Mumbai–Pune, Pune–Satara, Satara–Kolhapur, Sangli–Kolhapur, and Pune–Panshet. These fast chargers are strategically placed to support both urban riders and long-distance travelers, offering hassle-free access to reliable charging on the go.
Ather has also strengthened its physical presence in the region with 64 Experience Centres and 42 Service Centresspread across 37 cities, ensuring customers enjoy easy access to sales and after-sales support.
In addition to expanding the Ather Grid, the company has opened up its charging infrastructure to all EV users through the LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) standard. Developed by Ather and now available for industry-wide adoption, the LECCS system allows compatible light electric vehicles from various brands to access the Ather Grid network. Furthermore, these chargers are visible on Google Maps, enabling effortless discovery, navigation, and usage.
Speaking on the achievement, Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said:
“Maharashtra has been a strong market for us, and we’ve seen EV adoption here grow steadily over the years. As more people switch to electric, what really builds confidence is knowing that charging won’t be a challenge… Crossing 400 fast chargers in the state is a reflection of that effort. It’s about giving riders the assurance that they’ll always find a charger when they need one.”
Ather’s commitment to expanding the EV ecosystem is further reflected in its strategic partnerships with entities like Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and EV Dock for widespread charger deployment. Since launching India’s first two-wheeler fast charging network in 2018, Ather has now built over 3,300 fast charging points across the country, making it the largest such network for electric two-wheelers in India.
With Ather’s chargers offering 15 km of range in just 10 minutes, the infrastructure ensures reduced downtime for riders, thereby making everyday commutes and long-distance journeys more convenient than ever.
As the company continues to expand both its retail footprint and charging network, Maharashtra emerges as a flagship state in Ather Energy’s broader mission to make EV ownership truly seamless and stress-free.
