Hyundai India, Jio-bp Partner to Expand EV Charging Access to 37,000+ Points Across India
Gurugram, India, August 25, 2026: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has partnered with Jio-bp to integrate their respective electric vehicle (EV) charging networks, giving EV users wider access to public charging infrastructure across India.
Under the partnership, customers will be able to discover and access Jio-bp pulse charging stations through the myHyundai app, Hyundai Motor India’s integrated EV charging platform. With the addition of the Jio-bp pulse network, the myHyundai ecosystem now provides access to more than 37,000 public EV charging points across India.
At the same time, HMIL’s high-capacity charging stations will gradually be integrated into the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app, creating greater interoperability between the two charging networks.
Jio-bp Adds More Than 7,000 Charging Points
Jio-bp brings more than 7,000 active charging points across over 300 cities to the partnership. A significant number of these charging stations are located along major national highways, potentially making long-distance EV travel more convenient.
The Jio-bp pulse network includes DC fast chargers ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW, allowing compatible EVs to take advantage of higher charging speeds. Jio-bp says its charging network currently maintains an uptime of 96%, addressing one of the key concerns for EV users — whether a charging station will be operational when needed.
Hyundai said the collaboration comes at a time when EV customers’ concerns are increasingly shifting from vehicle range to the availability and reliability of charging infrastructure.
“Range anxiety” is gradually being accompanied by charging anxiety, particularly as more consumers consider EVs for daily use and inter-city travel.
myHyundai App Now Offers Access to 37,000+ Charging Points
HMIL had recently announced that the myHyundai app would provide access to more than 30,000 charging points. With the integration of Jio-bp pulse’s network, that figure has now crossed 37,000 charging points.
The platform is not restricted to Hyundai EV owners. EV users across vehicle brands can use the myHyundai app to discover and access charging stations available through its integrated charging network.
This makes the app a single digital interface for locating public charging infrastructure, potentially reducing the need for EV users to rely on multiple charging applications while travelling.
Hyundai Plans 600 Fast-Charging Stations by 2030
Alongside integrating third-party charging networks, Hyundai Motor India is also expanding its own charging infrastructure.
HMIL currently operates 183 DC fast-charging stations and plans to increase this network to 600 stations by 2030.
The company’s strategy combines proprietary charging infrastructure with integrations with external charging providers, giving EV users access to a broader charging ecosystem.
Hyun Sup Lee, Executive Director and Function Head, Corporate Planning, HMIL, said the partnership is aimed at providing customers with a more convenient and reliable electric mobility experience as Hyundai expands its EV portfolio in India.
Jio-bp Chairman Sarthak Behuria said the partnership is intended to build greater confidence in India’s transition to electric mobility, while Jio-bp CEO Akshay Wadhwa highlighted the importance of charging-station reliability and high-uptime infrastructure.
The two companies will also explore customer-centric offers and benefits for EV users in the future.
