Ducati Lenovo Team Unveils Desmosedici GP for 2026 at Campioni in Pista in Madonna di Campiglio

Madonna di Campiglio (Italy), January 19, 2026: Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Dolomites, Ducati Lenovo Team officially unveiled its 2026 MotoGP challenger, the Desmosedici GP, during the fourth consecutive edition of Campioni in Pista at Palacampiglio. The presentation marks the start of a landmark season that coincides with the centenary of Ducati, founded in 1926.

The Desmosedici GP machines that Marc Márquez and Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia will debut at the Thai Grand Prix on March 1, 2026, were revealed in a striking new Rosso Centenario livery, celebrating 100 years of Ducati heritage.

Ducati Lenovo Team Celebrates Record-Breaking Success

The unveiling follows another historic season for the Ducati Lenovo Team, which secured the prestigious Triple Crown for the third time in its history. Ducati recorded 13 race wins for the second consecutive year, reaching 99 MotoGP victories, while Márquez set an all-time points record for a single rider with 545 points. Ducati also clinched its sixth consecutive Constructors’ Championship, underlining its dominance in MotoGP.

Rosso Centenario Livery Honors Ducati’s Racing Heritage

To commemorate Ducati’s centenary, the 2026 Desmosedici GP features a distinctive matte Rosso Centenario finish with double white stripes. The deep red shade pays tribute to iconic machines from Ducati’s past, including the Ducati 60 (1949) and the Gran Sport “Marianna” (1955), the first Ducati designed specifically for racing by legendary engineer Fabio Taglioni.

A Dream Rider Line-Up: Márquez and Bagnaia

Leading Ducati’s centenary campaign is a rider pairing that needs no introduction. Between them, Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia boast nine MotoGP world titles—seven for Márquez and two for Bagnaia.

Márquez, fresh from one of the greatest comebacks in MotoGP history, is aiming to write another chapter of success with Ducati, while Bagnaia, Ducati’s most successful MotoGP rider, enters the season motivated by redemption and renewed determination.

Ducati Leadership Confident Ahead of 2026 MotoGP Season

Speaking at the event, Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, highlighted the significance of presenting the team in Madonna di Campiglio during Ducati’s centenary year, emphasizing the consistency, organization, and ambition that have driven Ducati’s recent success.

Luigi Dall’Igna, Ducati Corse General Manager, described 2026 as a unique season, combining centenary celebrations with preparations for the major regulation changes coming in 2027. He reiterated Ducati’s goal of fighting for a seventh consecutive Constructors’ title and a sixth Riders’ Championship, backed by the continued evolution of the Desmosedici GP.

Riders React Ahead of Pre-Season Testing

Marc Márquez called 2026 a fresh challenge, noting positive early sensations aboard the Desmosedici GP while identifying the Sepang tests as the first true benchmark of the season.

Francesco Bagnaia reflected on a challenging but formative previous year and expressed excitement about returning to competition, describing the centenary season as a special opportunity to showcase Ducati’s full potential.

MotoGP 2026: What’s Next for Ducati Lenovo Team

The 2026 MotoGP season officially begins with pre-season testing from February 3–5 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Later today, Márquez and Bagnaia will also meet fans at Sissi Square in Madonna di Campiglio from 5:00 PM, continuing Ducati’s close connection with its global fanbase.
