2026 Toyota Hilux Launched in India at Rs. 31.99 Lakh; Gets New Design, 2.8L Diesel Engine and Enhanced Tech

Jaipur, India, July 29, 2026: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the all-new ninth-generation Toyota Hilux in India, strengthening its premium SUV and lifestyle pickup portfolio. Priced from Rs. 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated Hilux receives a refreshed exterior, upgraded cabin, new technology features, enhanced safety equipment, and continues with Toyota’s proven 2.8-litre diesel powertrain and four-wheel-drive capability.

Built on Toyota’s Innovative Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) platform, the new Hilux has been developed to offer a balance of rugged durability, everyday usability, and off-road capability. Toyota says the latest Hilux is designed to cater to customers seeking a vehicle that can handle demanding work environments while also serving as a comfortable lifestyle vehicle for long-distance touring and adventure.

Refreshed Design Inspired by ‘Tough & Agile’ Philosophy

The all-new Hilux adopts Toyota’s “Tough & Agile” design language, featuring a more aggressive front fascia inspired by the company’s “Cyber Sumo” design concept. The pickup gets a redesigned front bumper with piano black inserts, new LED headlamps with welcome function, LED daytime running lamps, LED fog lamps, and revised alloy wheels.

Powering the new Hilux is Toyota’s familiar 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 turbo-diesel engine, producing 150 kW (204 hp) and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission across all variants.

Toyota has equipped the Hilux with an 80-litre fuel tank, making it suitable for long-distance travel and heavy-duty applications.

The Hilux continues with Toyota’s renowned 4WD system, featuring High (H4) and Low (L4) range transfer modes. Off-road capability is further enhanced by:
