Tata Motors Releases 11th Annual CSR Report, Benefitting 1.47 Million People Across India
Mumbai, September 17, 2025 – Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive manufacturer, has unveiled its 11th Annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report, titled “Expanding Circles of Care: Deeper connections, lasting impact.” The report highlights the company’s community-led, convergence-driven CSR strategy, which aligns people, policy, and purpose to deliver scalable and sustainable development models.
In FY25, Tata Motors’ CSR initiatives positively impacted over 1.47 million people, with 56% of beneficiaries belonging to SC/ST communities, underscoring its focus on equity and inclusion.
Shifting From Implementation to Systemic Transformation
Amid challenges such as climate change and socio-economic disparities, Tata Motors strengthened its CSR engagement across 109 aspirational districts in India. The company has moved from direct programme implementation to building replicable, scalable models that align with both grassroots needs and national priorities.

Key Highlights from Tata Motors’ CSR Report (FY 2024-25):
- Water Conservation at Scale: Restored 356 water bodies across 10 drought-hit districts of Maharashtra, creating 700 crore litres of water capacity and benefiting 7,000 farmers and 2.9 lakh villagers. By FY26, the company aims to rejuvenate 1,000 water bodies across 25+ districts.
- Rural Development: The Integrated Village Development Programme (IVDP) expanded to Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti and Balrampur, positively impacting 18,000+ people in Maharashtra’s tribal Palghar district.
- Dignified Livelihoods: Partnered with Kashtakari Panchayat to support 8,000 waste picker families, facilitated education and skilling, and assisted 12,000+ migrant workers through the Kamgar Samman and Suvidha Kendra in Bhosari.
- Workplace Inclusion: On-boarded 141 Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and 17 transgender individuals, reinforcing its commitment to workplace equity.
- Driving Academic Success: Through the ENABLE programme, 19,000+ students received coaching for competitive exams, with 28% qualifying JEE Mains. In Mumbai, 69 BMC schools achieved a 96% SSC pass rate, surpassing city averages.
- Combating Malnutrition: Project Aarogyasampanna reduced severe and moderate malnutrition cases by 90%in Trombay’s slums, while also empowering parents through nutritional education.
- Employee Volunteering: Over 19,000 employees contributed 2 lakh+ volunteer hours, leading health drives, environmental campaigns, and disaster relief initiatives.
