Hero Motors Shares List at ₹82.10, Touch ₹98.51 on BSE on Debut

Mumbai, India, September 24, 2026: Hero Motors Limited made its stock market debut on September 23, 2026, with the shares listing at ₹82.10, as the automotive technology company witnessed strong trading activity on its first day on the exchanges.

The Hero Motors share price touched an intraday high of ₹98.40 on the NSE and ₹98.51 on the BSE during the trading session.

Hero Motors is an automotive technology company involved in the design, development, manufacturing and supply of engineered powertrain solutions. The company caters to automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across markets including the United States, Europe, India and the ASEAN region.

According to NSE data, a total of 1,398.43 lakh shares were traded on the first day. On the BSE, the total quantity traded stood at 171.66 lakh shares.

The combined turnover across the BSE and NSE stood at ₹1,435.5 crore on the first day of trading.

At the closing price, Hero Motors had a market capitalisation of ₹4,474.48 crore on the BSE and ₹4,469.48 crore on the NSE.

The stock’s movement during the debut session saw it trade significantly above its ₹82.10 listing price, reaching an intraday high of ₹98.40 on the NSE and ₹98.51 on the BSE.

Hero Motors IPO receives 6.66 times subscription

Hero Motors had launched its nearly ₹1,000 crore initial public offering (IPO) for subscription between September 16 and September 18, 2026.

The book-built issue was subscribed 6.66 times, with investors placing bids for 58,97,26,638 shares against the 8,86,07,596 shares offered.

The Non-Institutional Investors (NII) category received the highest level of subscription at 9.86 times.

The Retail Investors portion was subscribed 8.23 times, while the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) category was subscribed 1.49 times.

Hero Motors expands its capital-market presence

The stock market listing marks a significant milestone for Hero Motors as the company enters the public markets.

The company operates in the automotive technology space, developing powertrain solutions for OEMs across multiple international markets. Its product and engineering activities cater to customers in India as well as overseas markets including the US, Europe and ASEAN.

The strong trading volumes on the listing day also made Hero Motors one of the notable automotive-related stock market debuts during the period.

With the IPO now completed and the company listed on both the NSE and BSE, investors will be able to track Hero Motors’ performance as a publicly traded automotive technology company.
