Bengaluru, India, September 9, 2026: Bengaluru’s 13-year-old karter Rishik Rohit Reddy will make his international racing debut this weekend when he competes in the FIA Karting Arrive & Drive Asia Pacific event in Macao SAR, China, from September 10 to 13.

Rishik will compete in the Junior class, which is open to drivers born between 2012 and 2014. The event will give the young Indian racer his first opportunity to compete on an international stage against drivers from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Rishik has already established himself as one of the promising young karters in India. Carrying forward his father’s passion for motorsport, he has broken into the top three of the National Karting Championship this season after showing significant improvement over the previous year.

His national championship campaign was briefly interrupted by a crash into the barriers during the second round. However, Rishik recovered quickly and returned to competition to remain firmly in contention for the title.

He opened his 2026 campaign with 49 points in Round 1 at COASTT in Coimbatore, followed by 46 points in Round 2 and 52 points in Round 3, both held at MIKA in Chennai.

Rishik currently sits third in the championship with 252 points, just two points behind the runner-up and 17 points behind the defending champion and current championship leader. With the points from Rounds 4 and 5 in Bengaluru yet to be added, he remains firmly in the fight for the national championship.

Rishik Reddy joins international field in Macao

The Macao event marks an important step in Rishik’s young racing career. The inaugural FIA Karting Arrive & Drive Asia Pacific event has attracted 20 Junior-class entries representing 18 different countries, providing the Bengaluru youngster with an opportunity to measure himself against an international field.

India will have three competitors at the event. Rishik Reddy and Rivaan Dev Preetham will compete in the Junior category, while Kiaan Shah will represent India in the Senior class.

For Rishik, the Macao weekend will be his first taste of international competition and a chance to gain valuable experience outside the domestic championship.

With his strong 2026 National Karting Championship campaign already underway, the 13-year-old will now look to make an impression on the international stage when racing begins in Macao.
