September 10, 2026: Apple has introduced the Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 in India, expanding its latest wearable lineup with new health, fitness, audio and AI-powered features. The Apple Watch Ultra 4 brings a new Health Sensing System, S11 chip, longer battery life and enhanced workout tracking, while AirPods 5 introduce Active Noise Cancellation to Apple’s more affordable open-ear AirPods range.

Both products are available to pre-order in India, with retail availability beginning September 18, 2026.

Apple Watch Ultra 4: Price and Key Features

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at ₹1,09,900 in India and is available in natural and black titanium finishes. The new rugged smartwatch features Apple’s new Health Sensing System, which combines new optical and electrical heart sensors with the S11 chip to deliver what Apple describes as its most accurate heart rate sensing in a wearable.

The watch measures heart rate every five seconds throughout the day, while heart rate variability (HRV) measurements are now available up to 24 times more frequently. Apple has also introduced a new readiness score that analyses recent activity, training load, vital signs and sleep data.

The readiness feature provides a daily score from 0 to 10, along with recommendations such as Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready or Go For It. The score can also update during the day as new health and activity data becomes available.

Apple says the health sensing improvements are based on a study involving more than 1,000 participants, which compared Apple Watch heart rate sensing with leading wearable devices.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 Gets Longer Battery Life

Battery life is another major upgrade on the Apple Watch Ultra 4. Apple says the smartwatch can deliver up to 50 hours of everyday battery life, while Low Power Mode extends this to as much as 84 hours.

Charging has also been improved, with 15 minutes of charging providing up to 18 hours of additional battery life.

For outdoor workouts, Extended Workout mode provides up to 25 hours of tracking with full GPS and heart rate readings. Max Extended Workout mode increases this to 45 hours, with GPS readings taken every second, making the watch suitable for longer runs, walks and hikes.

The S11 chip also powers a redesigned pedometer system using new machine-learning algorithms. Apple claims the Apple Watch Ultra 4 offers its most accurate step tracking on a smartwatch, with a new Steps complication allowing users to view their step count directly from the watch face.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 Adds Apple Intelligence Features

The new Apple Watch Ultra 4 also brings Apple Intelligence-powered capabilities to the wrist.

With watchOS 27, Siri gains personal context understanding and access to broader world knowledge, allowing users to interact with the assistant more naturally while on the move.

Apple is also introducing Audio Intelligence features later this year. These use the watch’s microphone, S11 chip, Apple Intelligence models on iPhone and Private Cloud Compute to help users stay aware of important sounds, remember key moments and catch information they may have missed.

Features including Siri Recap and Live Rewind will arrive in beta later this year. Apple says these features are designed with privacy in mind, with audio processing handled through a hardware-isolated Secure Exclave on the S11 chip.

Apple Watch Ultra 4: Bands and Hermès Edition

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is available in natural and black titanium, while the latest Trail Loop, Alpine Loop and Ocean Band collections receive new colour options.

Apple is also introducing the Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 4 in natural titanium. The Hermès version features a new Grand H titanium band with an extension mechanism designed to fit over a wetsuit, along with Fathom and Wonder watch faces inspired by the ocean.

Apple says the Watch Ultra 4 contains 45 percent recycled material overall, including 100 percent recycled titanium in its 3D-printed titanium case and 100 percent recycled cobalt in its battery.

AirPods 5 Launched in India at ₹14,900

Alongside the new smartwatch, Apple has launched the AirPods 5 in India. Priced at ₹14,900, the new open-ear wireless earbuds bring Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), improved sound quality, Siri AI and Live Translation.

AirPods 5 with a Wireless Charging Case are priced at ₹17,900.

Apple claims the new AirPods 5 deliver up to 50 percent more external noise reduction compared with AirPods 4 with ANC. The earbuds use a new multiport acoustic architecture and next-generation Adaptive EQ to improve sound quality across different ear geometries.

The updated Transparency mode is designed to provide a more natural representation of voices and surrounding sounds, while Adaptive Audio automatically balances ANC and Transparency mode according to the user’s surroundings.

AirPods 5 Get Siri AI and Live Translation

AirPods 5 also bring Apple’s latest AI capabilities to the open-ear form factor.

When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone, users can access the new Siri AI hands-free. Siri can understand personal context across messages, emails and photos, while also providing access to broader world knowledge and app actions.

Users can interact with Siri using head gestures, including nodding or shaking their head.

Another major addition is Live Translation, which allows AirPods users to hear conversations translated into their preferred language. The feature works with compatible Apple devices and requires Apple Intelligence to be enabled.

AirPods 5 Wireless Charging Case Improves Battery Life

The AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case offer additional features, including stem-based volume control. Users can swipe up or down on the stem to adjust volume.

Battery life has also been increased. Apple says the earbuds deliver up to five hours of playback with ANC enabled on a single charge, while the charging case extends total ANC listening time to 22 hours.

The wireless charging case supports Apple Watch chargers, Qi-compatible chargers and USB-C charging.

Apple says AirPods 5 are made with 40 percent recycled material overall, including 70 percent recycled plastic in the wireless charging case and 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 India Price and Availability

In India, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 is priced from ₹1,09,900, while the AirPods 5 start at ₹14,900. The AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case are priced at ₹17,900.

Pre-orders for all three products begin today, with availability at stores from September 18, 2026.
The new products will run alongside Apple’s latest software ecosystem, with watchOS 27 and iOS 27 scheduled for September 14. Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features will be available subject to compatible devices, supported languages and regional availability.
