Ultraviolette Becomes First Indian Motorcycle Manufacturer to Complete Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit

Bengaluru, India, June 9, 2026: Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has achieved a landmark milestone by becoming the first Indian motorcycle brand to successfully complete a lap of the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit, one of the most challenging and iconic motorcycle courses in the world.

The historic achievement was accomplished on June 6, 2026, when multiple Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 motorcycles completed a full lap of the famed 37.72-mile (60.72 km) Mountain Course. The feat has since been officially recognised by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.

The achievement marks a significant moment not only for Ultraviolette but also for India’s growing electric vehicle ecosystem, showcasing the capability of Indian-engineered electric motorcycles on one of motorsport’s most revered stages.

F77 MACH 2 Conquers One of Motorcycling’s Toughest Circuits

The historic lap was completed by an accomplished trio of riders comprising former Isle of Man TT race winner James Hillier, motorcycle enthusiast and television personality Ranvijay Singha, and multiple national champion Abhishek Vasudev.

Known for its high-speed straights, technical corners and unpredictable weather conditions, the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course has long been considered one of the most demanding tests of motorcycle performance, rider skill and engineering excellence.

By successfully completing the circuit, the F77 MACH 2 demonstrated the maturity, reliability and performance potential of electric motorcycle technology developed in India.

A Defining Moment for Indian Electric Mobility

Speaking on the achievement, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said: “Completing a lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course with the F77s is a significant milestone for Ultraviolette and a proud moment for Indian design and engineering. It demonstrates how far electric motorcycle technology has evolved and reinforces our belief that high-performance electric mobility can compete on the world’s most demanding stages.”

He also highlighted the historical significance of electric racing at the Isle of Man TT and called for the return of dedicated electric motorcycle competition.

“For decades, the Isle of Man TT has been where motorcycle technology is tested, proven and celebrated. The TT Zero class was ahead of its time and showed the world that electric motorcycles could be more than an alternative; they could be genuinely exciting, competitive and capable. Today, electric motorcycles have reached an entirely new level of capability and we would love to see electric racing return to the Isle of Man TT and continue driving the next chapter of motorcycle innovation.”

Global Recognition for Indian Engineering

The successful completion of the Mountain Circuit represents another major milestone in Ultraviolette’s efforts to position itself as a global performance EV brand.

The accomplishment also reinforces India’s growing reputation as a hub for advanced electric vehicle development, engineering innovation and sustainable mobility solutions.

As global demand for electric motorcycles continues to rise, achievements such as this are expected to strengthen confidence in Indian-developed EV technology and accelerate the adoption of high-performance electric mobility worldwide.
