Skoda Auto India Updates 2026 Kodiaq Range with New Lounge Variant, Enhanced Sportline and L&K Trims

Mumbai, India, May 11, 2026: Škoda Auto India has announced a major update to its flagship luxury SUV lineup with the refreshed 2026 Skoda Kodiaq range in India. Following the recent launch of the new Kushaq, the company has now introduced significant enhancements across the Kodiaq portfolio, including a new Lounge variant and upgraded Sportline and Selection Laurin & Klement (L&K) trims.

The updated Kodiaq lineup is aimed at offering buyers a broader mix of accessibility, sportiness, and premium luxury while continuing to deliver the SUV’s signature refinement, all-wheel-drive capability, and dynamic driving experience.

The refreshed Skoda Kodiaq will be available in three variants with the following ex-showroom prices:

New Kodiaq Lounge Variant Focuses on Value and Space

The newly introduced Kodiaq Lounge variant is designed to make the premium SUV more accessible to Indian buyers while retaining the core strengths of the Kodiaq brand.

Configured as a five-seater, the Lounge trim offers a massive 786-litre boot space and continues with the same 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox and 4×4 drivetrain.

Inside the cabin, the Lounge variant features Grey Suedia upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone Climatronic climate control, acoustic insulation, and a leather multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters.

Kodiaq Sportline Gets ADAS and Premium Features

For 2026, the Skoda Kodiaq Sportline receives a major technology upgrade with the addition of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Key safety and driver-assistance features now include:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Lane Assist
  • Side Assist with blind-spot detection
  • Rear Traffic Alert
  • Front Assist with warning and braking support
  • Exit Warning System
  • LED Matrix Headlights with Adaptive Front-lighting System

The Sportline trim also gains several premium features previously reserved for the top-end Selection L&K variant, including a 360-degree camera system, Intelligent Park Assist, and an illuminated front grille.

Sporty styling elements such as Glossy Black exterior accents, black interiors, aluminium pedals, and a three-spoke steering wheel reinforce the SUV’s performance-inspired character.

Kodiaq Selection L&K Remains the Flagship Luxury SUV

The Skoda Kodiaq Selection L&K continues as the most luxurious offering in the Kodiaq lineup and across the Skoda Auto India portfolio.

For 2026, the flagship trim also gains the complete ADAS package while retaining premium features such as Cognac leather upholstery, ventilated and heated Ergo seats with massage function, and power seat adjustment.

The cabin also features Laurin & Klement branding, highlighting the SUV’s premium positioning in the Indian luxury SUV market.

Engine, Performance and Platform Details

All variants of the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq continue to use the proven 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 150kW of power and 320Nm of torque.

The SUV is underpinned by the MQB37 platform and sends power to all four wheels through a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The Kodiaq is locally assembled at Skoda Auto India’s manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

Skoda Reinforces Motorsport and SUV Legacy

Speaking on the refreshed lineup, Ashish Gupta said the updated Kodiaq range is designed to cater to every luxury SUV aspiration, from accessibility and sportiness to premium sophistication.

The company also highlighted Skoda’s motorsport heritage, which continues to influence its India lineup including the Kushaq, Slavia, Kylaq, Octavia RS, and the Kodiaq Sportline.

First introduced in India in 2017, the Kodiaq helped establish Skoda’s SUV naming philosophy, with all SUV names beginning with “K” and ending in “Q.”
