Rivaan Dev Preetham Dominates Indian Karting Academy Trophy 2026 with Double Win in Bengaluru
Bengaluru, India, May 11, 2026: Rivaan Dev Preetham emerged as the standout performer at the Indian Karting Academy Trophy 2026 after clinching a sensational double victory in the OK-Junior category at the Meco Kartopia circuit in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Representing MSPORT, the Chennai youngster delivered under pressure by winning both the Super Heat and Final races despite not topping the earlier practice, qualifying, or Heat sessions.
Rivaan Dev Preetham Shines in OK-Junior Category
Rivaan produced a clinical drive in the Super Heat race to secure victory ahead of fellow Chennai racer Rehankhan Rasheed of Momentum Motorsports and Pune’s Hridaan Sanadhya from Crest Motorsport.
The momentum continued into the Final as Rivaan once again showcased impressive racecraft to finish on top, with Rehankhan Rasheed taking second place and Hridaan Sanadhya completing the podium.
Meanwhile, Coimbatore’s Rishik Rohit Reddy impressed during the earlier sessions after dominating qualifying and the Heat race but was unable to convert that pace into victories during the crucial Super Heat and Final races.
Kiaan Shah and Akshat Misra Share Honours in Senior Max
In the concurrently held Meco Meritus Cup, Mumbai racer Kiaan Shah and Bengaluru’s Akshat Misra split wins in the Senior Max category.
Kiaan, representing Rayo Racing, claimed Sprint Race 1 shortly after his podium finish at the RMC Asia Trophy in Thailand. However, Akshat Misra of Peregrine Racing bounced back strongly to win Sprint Race 2.
Despite the shared victories, Kiaan Shah currently leads the championship standings by a single point after Round 1.
Mini Max and Micro Max Categories Deliver Thrilling Battles
In the Mini Max class, Micah Hayden Andrews from Tirunelveli and Hyderabad’s Shiv Tummala secured victories in the two sprint races respectively.
Micah, driving for Peregrine Racing, now holds a slender three-point lead in the championship standings after consistent performances across both races.
The Micro Max category also produced close competition, with Mumbai’s Atharv Hemani winning Sprint Race 1 while Chennai’s Yeshwin Vinayak took top honours in Sprint Race 2.
