EKA Mobility H1 FY27 Volumes Grow 1,243% to 1,786 Electric Vehicles
Pune, India, October 1, 2026: EKA Mobility has reported a 1,243% year-on-year increase in vehicle volumes for the first half of FY2026-27, with the electric commercial vehicle manufacturer delivering 1,786 vehicles between April and September 2026, compared with 133 units in the corresponding period of FY2025-26.
The company said the performance represents more than 13X year-on-year growth, supported by strong demand across its Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) and electric bus portfolios.
EKA Mobility H1 FY27 Sales Growth
EKA Mobility’s SCV volumes increased to 1,286 units in H1 FY2026-27, compared with 79 units in the same period last year. This represents a 1,528% year-on-year increase, or more than 16X growth.
The company’s electric bus volumes also increased significantly, rising to 500 units from 54 units, translating into 826% growth or more than nine times the volume recorded in H1 FY2025-26.

EKA Mobility said the growth comes on the back of its expanding range of electric commercial vehicles across multiple segments. The company has also entered the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) truck segment this year, adding to its existing electric bus and SCV portfolio.
EKA Mobility Expands Electric Commercial Vehicle Portfolio
EKA Mobility is building a broader electric commercial vehicle portfolio covering multiple applications, with the company positioning itself to offer electric mobility solutions across different commercial vehicle segments.
Commenting on the H1 FY2026-27 performance, Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Founder and Chairman, EKA Mobility, said, “These numbers reflect the trust our customers have placed in EKA, and the discipline of a team that has built, scaled and delivered at speed.”
He added that the company has grown thirteen-fold in a year and is focusing on expanding manufacturing capacity, strengthening engineering capabilities and increasing the adoption of electric commercial mobility in India.
EKA Mobility Builds Manufacturing Capacity
EKA Mobility currently operates two manufacturing plants in Pune, while an upcoming mega manufacturing hub in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, is expected to significantly expand its production capacity.
The company’s scale-up is supported by a workforce of more than 3,000 employees, including a 500-plus member R&D team comprising designers and engineers.
EKA said its R&D capabilities cover areas including vehicle design and engineering, electric powertrains, battery systems, electronics and software.
EKA Mobility Expands International Presence
Alongside its domestic expansion, EKA Mobility is growing its international presence. The company’s electric buses are already deployed in Zanzibar, while its SCVs are operating in Nepal.
The company is also working with local partners to establish assembly facilities in Ethiopia and Australia. The expansion is aimed at taking EKA Mobility’s India-developed electric commercial vehicles into additional international markets.
EKA Mobility and Automotive PLI Scheme
EKA Mobility is also a Champion OEM under India’s Automotive Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme and has achieved PLI certification across all its product platforms, according to the company.
The certification supports EKA Mobility’s focus on vehicle technology, local value addition and electric vehicle manufacturing in India.
With 1,786 vehicles delivered in H1 FY2026-27, EKA Mobility has recorded a significant increase in volumes compared with the previous year.
