MotoGP strengthens leadership team with four key executive appointments
September 23, 2026: MotoGP has announced four senior executive appointments as the championship continues to strengthen its leadership structure and prepare for its next phase of global growth.
Ryan Norys has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer, Sameer Pabari will become Chief Media Officer, Louise Young has been named Chief Operating Officer, while Denitza Batchvarova has joined as Chief Strategy Officer.
The appointments add significant experience from leading organisations across global sport, media, entertainment and finance. They follow the promotion of Carlos Ezpeleta to Deputy CEO in August and the appointment of Vince Russell as Chief Financial Officer in May. Enrique Aldama has also moved into the role of Chief Administrative Officer.
Together with CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, the appointments create a strengthened senior leadership team that will oversee MotoGP’s commercial, media, operational and strategic development.
“These appointments are an important step in building the team that will help shape MotoGP’s future,” said Carlos Ezpeleta, Deputy CEO of MotoGP.
“Ryan, Sameer, Louise and Denitza bring hugely valuable experience from leading sports and entertainment organisations that will strengthen our commercial, media, operations and strategy capabilities. Together with our existing team, they will help us deepen our connection with our fans, reach new audiences and create new opportunities for our existing and new commercial partners, building on the strong foundations of the sport.”
Ryan Norys appointed MotoGP Chief Commercial Officer
Norys joins MotoGP from Tottenham Hotspur, where he currently serves as Chief Revenue Officer and has led the club’s commercial business since 2022.
In his new role as Chief Commercial Officer, Norys will oversee MotoGP’s global commercial activities, including partnerships, sponsorship, licensing, hospitality, marketing and digital.
Before joining Tottenham Hotspur, Norys held senior commercial positions with AS Roma, Manchester City and the Miami Dolphins.
His appointment is expected to strengthen MotoGP’s commercial operations as the championship looks to expand its global partnerships and create new opportunities across its growing international audience.
Sameer Pabari to lead MotoGP media operations
Sameer Pabari will take on the role of Chief Media Officer after previously working with MotoGP in an advisory capacity.
Pabari brings around two decades of experience across sports, media and technology, having held senior leadership roles at the NFL, Warner Bros. Discovery and Manchester United.
His focus will include MotoGP’s live broadcast production, long-form content, media distribution partnerships and the commercial development of its direct-to-consumer streaming service.
Pabari’s experience in developing digital media products and engaging global audiences will be central to MotoGP’s efforts to expand its reach across traditional and digital platforms.
Louise Young joins from Formula 1 as Chief Operating Officer
Louise Young will join MotoGP as Chief Operating Officer after more than eight years with Formula 1.
Young held several senior legal positions at Formula 1 before moving into the organisation’s race promotion business. She was appointed to lead race promotion in July 2023 and became Chief Race Promotion Officer in early 2025.
At MotoGP, Young will oversee race promotion, events, operations and ESG functions.
Her experience working with race promoters, circuits and government stakeholders is expected to support MotoGP’s continued international expansion and the delivery of events across its global calendar.
Denitza Batchvarova takes charge of MotoGP strategy
Denitza Batchvarova joined MotoGP earlier this month as Chief Strategy Officer.
She brings two decades of experience spanning sport, entertainment and finance. Before joining MotoGP, Batchvarova was Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Finance at TKO Group Holdings, following her previous strategy leadership role at UFC.
Her responsibilities at MotoGP will include developing and executing the championship’s global growth strategy.
Batchvarova’s background in business transformation, long-term strategic planning and sustainable growth will support MotoGP as it enters its next phase of development.
MotoGP expands senior team
The four executive appointments come alongside further senior hires across MotoGP’s people and operations teams.
The championship said the additions are aimed at strengthening its ability to support employees, race promoters and event stakeholders, while building the capabilities required to deliver its long-term ambitions.
With its expanded leadership team covering commercial operations, media, race promotion, strategy, finance and administration, MotoGP is continuing to invest in the business side of the championship alongside its sporting development.
The latest appointments underline the championship’s focus on expanding its global audience, strengthening its commercial ecosystem and developing new ways to engage MotoGP fans around the world.
