Valencia Confirmed as 2027 MotoGP Season Finale

Valencia, Spain, September 23, 2026: The Valencia Grand Prix at Circuit Ricardo Tormo has been confirmed as the season-ending round of the 2027 MotoGP World Championship, with MotoGP announcing the finale ahead of the release of the full calendar on September 25.

The confirmation means the 2027 MotoGP season will once again begin and end at two of the championship’s most established venues. The Thailand Grand Prix at Buriram International Circuit has already been confirmed as the season opener, scheduled for March 5-7, 2027, while Valencia will host the final round of the campaign.

The complete 2027 MotoGP calendar will be unveiled on Friday, September 25, at 12:00 CET.

Valencia to host another MotoGP season finale

Circuit Ricardo Tormo has become closely associated with the end of the MotoGP season, having hosted numerous championship deciders, race victories and defining moments in Grand Prix motorcycle racing.

The circuit’s distinctive stadium-style layout allows spectators to see a large portion of the track from their seats, creating one of the most recognisable atmospheres on the MotoGP calendar.

MotoGP Deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta said Valencia remains a special venue for concluding the championship.

“There are few places that capture the spirit of a MotoGP season finale quite like Circuit Ricardo Tormo,” said Ezpeleta. “The circuit, the city and the fans create a truly special atmosphere every year, making it the perfect venue to bring another season of world-class competition to a close.”

He added that MotoGP is delighted to confirm Valencia as the host of the 2027 finale.

Buriram to open 2027 MotoGP season

While Valencia will bring the 2027 championship to a close, the campaign will begin at Buriram International Circuit in Thailand.

The Thai Grand Prix is scheduled for March 5-7, 2027, giving the championship a familiar start and finish at two venues that have developed strong associations with MotoGP.

With both the opening and closing rounds now confirmed, attention turns to the remaining venues that will make up the complete 2027 MotoGP calendar.

Valencia prepares for 2026 MotoGP finale

The announcement comes as Valencia prepares to host the 2026 MotoGP season finale later this year.

MotoGP plans to expand its presence beyond Circuit Ricardo Tormo, with a programme of fan activities and entertainment taking place across the city.

The MotoGP Fan Fest will bring riders, entertainment and live music to central Valencia, with activities planned at locations including the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias and Marina Sur.

International DJ HUGEL will headline a special HUGEL & Friends event at Marina Sur as part of the weekend celebrations.

The President of the Valencia Government, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, described the confirmation of the 2027 finale as positive news for Circuit Ricardo Tormo and the wider Valencian Community.

“Hosting the final round of the MotoGP World Championship is a tribute to the event organisers and to our fans, who ensure that this Grand Prix continues to grow year on year,” said Pérez Llorca.
