Kia Carens CNG, Carens Clavis CNG and Carnival Hybrid Pre-Bookings Open in India

New Delhi, India, September 10, 2026: Kia India has opened pre-bookings for three new powertrain offerings in its Indian portfolio – the Carens CNG, Carens Clavis CNG and Carnival Limousine Hybrid. The new models expand Kia’s multi-powertrain strategy in India, giving customers additional choices across its three-row MPV range.

The three models were recently showcased at Kia Inspiration Day and are aimed at catering to different mobility requirements. While the Carens and Carens Clavis get factory-fitted CNG powertrains, the Carnival Limousine adds a hybrid option to Kia’s premium MPV range.

Kia Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG

The Kia Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG will be powered by the G1.5 petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and will feature a factory-fitted CNG kit with a 60-litre tank capacity.

Both CNG models receive several changes specifically for the alternative-fuel powertrain, including CNG-specific engine calibration and modified suspension. They will also feature 16-inch wheels and 16-inch disc brakes.

Kia has equipped the CNG variants with a CNG Fuel Change Switch and a 4.2-inch colour TFT MID featuring CNG DTE Logic. The third-row seat-back frame has also been modified to provide an improved recline angle and enhance passenger comfort.

The Carens CNG will be available in the Premium (O) G1.5 6MT trim.

The Carens Clavis CNG will be offered in the HTE and HTE (O) G1.5 6MT trims.

Kia will also offer CNG versions of both MPVs for business and commercial applications. Under its B2B and commercial mobility solutions, the Carens CNG will be available in the M-Drive G1.5 6MT trim, while the Carens Clavis CNG will be offered in the HTM G1.5 6MT trim.

Kia Carnival Limousine Hybrid

Alongside the CNG MPVs, Kia is also introducing a hybrid powertrain for the Carnival Limousine.

The Carnival Limousine Hybrid will be powered by a G1.6T HEV powertrain paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and will be offered in the Limousine+ trim.

The new hybrid variant expands the powertrain options available in Kia’s premium MPV portfolio while retaining the Carnival’s focus on space, comfort and premium features.

The Carnival Limousine Hybrid will feature 18-inch Crystal Cut Dual Tone Aero Alloy Wheels, along with Active Air Flaps (AAF) and a Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS).

The premium MPV will also get a Smart Pure Air Purifier with AQI Display, retractable and height-adjustable seat-back tables with wireless charging, monotone ambient lighting, cup holders and leatherette-wrapped door trims.

Kia expands multi-powertrain strategy in India

The addition of CNG powertrains to the Carens and Carens Clavis, together with the hybrid Carnival Limousine, gives Kia India a broader range of powertrain choices across its MPV portfolio.

The move also allows Kia to address different customer requirements, from buyers seeking the practicality of a factory-fitted CNG vehicle to premium MPV customers looking for an electrified hybrid powertrain.

Pre-bookings for the Kia Carens CNG, Carens Clavis CNG and Carnival Limousine Hybrid are now open through Kia India’s authorised dealer network. Kia has confirmed that prices for all three models will be announced at a later date.
