boAt Partners With Google Cloud to Bring Gemini AI to Next-Generation Crest AI Devices

New Delhi, India, August 27, 2026: Google Cloud and Imagine Marketing, the parent company of Indian audio and wearables brand boAt, have announced a collaboration to integrate Google Gemini into boAt’s upcoming Crest AI lineup of smart audio devices.

The partnership is aimed at bringing conversational, voice-driven and personalised AI capabilities to everyday audio products, with boAt positioning Crest AI as a platform designed to bridge the gap between traditional consumer hardware and ambient AI computing.

boAt Crest AI devices to get Gemini Live

At the centre of the collaboration is the integration of Gemini Live, which will enable users to have more natural, flowing conversations with Crest AI-powered devices.

According to boAt, the devices will be capable of handling a range of voice-based functions, including general queries, device controls, music playback, productivity tasks, language translation and frequently asked questions.

The company says the use of Google Cloud infrastructure and the multimodal capabilities of Gemini Live through the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform will allow Crest AI devices to understand context, regional nuances and complex queries in real time.

The initiative is also focused on making advanced AI experiences accessible to a wider Indian audience, including users speaking different regional languages and dialects.

Google Workspace integration for productivity

boAt’s Crest AI devices will also integrate with Google Workspace, allowing users to interact with services such as Gmail, Google Tasks and Google Calendar using voice commands.

For example, users will be able to ask the device to help respond to an email or schedule a meeting, potentially turning compatible boAt audio devices into hands-free productivity assistants.

boAt is also introducing Crest Translate, designed to provide real-time, two-way translation to help users communicate across languages.

Meanwhile, Crest Ask will provide conversational AI capabilities for everyday listening. Users will be able to ask questions, learn, brainstorm ideas or engage in general conversations using natural voice interactions.

boAt targets wider access to AI in India

Gaurav Nayyar, CEO of boAt, said the company aims to move beyond conventional voice assistants by creating intelligent conversational agents that can support a range of everyday tasks.

The partnership with Google Cloud is expected to provide the infrastructure needed to scale these AI-powered experiences to boAt’s large user base across India.

Sashi Sreedharan, Managing Director, Google Cloud India, said voice and vernacular capabilities represent an important opportunity for AI adoption in India, adding that Google Cloud’s infrastructure will help boAt scale its AI-powered devices to millions of users.
