Tata Sierra.ev Launched in India at ₹18.79 Lakh: 500+ km Real-World Range, AWD and Triple-Screen Cabin
Mumbai, India, July 1, 2026: TATA.ev, the electric mobility arm of Tata Motors, has officially launched the all-new Sierra.ev, marking the return of one of India’s most iconic SUVs in a fully electric avatar. Starting at an introductory ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the Sierra.ev combines premium design, advanced EV technology, intelligent connectivity, and all-wheel-drive capability to set a new benchmark in India’s fast-growing electric SUV segment.
Bookings for the Sierra.ev have opened immediately, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin on July 15, 2026.

Reviving one of the most recognizable nameplates in Indian automotive history, Tata.ev has transformed the Sierra into a modern electric SUV designed for buyers seeking style, technology, performance, and everyday practicality.
The Sierra.ev is positioned as the company’s most technologically advanced SUV yet, offering a spacious cabin, immersive digital experiences, premium comfort, and genuine SUV capability while embracing zero-emission mobility.
The launch comes at a time when India’s electric vehicle market is witnessing rapid growth, driven by improving charging infrastructure, lower ownership costs, and increasing consumer confidence in EVs.
Tata Motors: Sierra.ev Will Drive the Next Phase of EV Adoption
Launching the Sierra.ev, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said the new model carries forward the legacy of the original Sierra while redefining expectations for premium electric SUVs.
According to Chandra, the Sierra has always symbolized innovation and aspiration, and the new electric version combines long real-world driving range, strong performance, intelligent technology, luxurious comfort, and all-terrain capability into a single package.
He added that as electric vehicles become mainstream in India, desirability will become the key driver of adoption, with the Sierra.ev designed to make electric mobility more appealing while accelerating India’s transition toward cleaner transportation.
500+ km Real-World Range and Fast Charging
One of the Sierra.ev’s biggest highlights is its 75 kWh battery pack, which Tata claims delivers a real-world driving range of over 500 km (C75 cycle).
The SUV also supports ultra-fast DC charging, enabling approximately 263 km of range in just 15 minutes, while charging from 20% to 80% takes around 26 minutes under suitable conditions.
To further boost buyer confidence, Tata is offering a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, reinforcing its commitment to long-term EV ownership.

The flagship variant features a dual-motor Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) system producing 504 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 5.8 seconds using Boost Mode.
To enhance versatility, Tata has equipped the Sierra.ev with:
