TVS Motor Company Appoints Ravindran Shanmugam as Independent Director

Bengaluru, India, May 14, 2026: TVS Motor Company (TVSM) has announced the appointment of Ravindran Shanmugam as an Independent Director on the company’s board for a period of five consecutive years, effective May 13, 2026, subject to shareholder approval.

The Bengaluru-based two and three-wheeler manufacturer said the induction of Shanmugam is aimed at strengthening the company’s governance and accelerating its focus on digital transformation, technology-led innovation and future mobility.

Shanmugam is currently the Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Mablle, an AI-enabled interior design and renovation platform headquartered in Singapore. He brings extensive experience in scaling consumer-focused businesses, platform-led growth strategies and AI-driven digital ecosystems across international markets.

Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Shanmugam worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he advised businesses on growth strategy and transformation initiatives. He is also an alumnus of University of Oxford.

Commenting on the appointment, Sudarshan Venu said Shanmugam’s expertise in digital platforms, AI-led transformation and global business scaling would add significant value to the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Shanmugam highlighted that the mobility industry is undergoing rapid transformation driven by technology, artificial intelligence, digital ecosystems and evolving consumer expectations.
