Bombay Logistics Deploys Blue Energy Motors LNG Trucks for JSW Steel Operations in Karnataka

Mumbai/ Karnataka/ India, August 18, 2026: Bombay Logistics has commenced commercial operations with a fleet of Blue Energy Motors heavy-duty LNG trucks in Karnataka. The trucks have been deployed in the Toranagallu region for JSW Steel operations, where they will support demanding industrial freight and long-haul transportation requirements.

The deployment marks another step towards the adoption of LNG-powered heavy-duty trucks for industrial and commercial freight applications in India.

Blue Energy Motors LNG trucks target fuel efficiency

Designed for intensive commercial applications, Blue Energy Motors’ LNG trucks combine long-haul capability with fuel efficiency and heavy-duty performance. The company claims that its LNG trucks can deliver up to 20% better fuel efficiency, helping fleet operators improve operating economics while reducing the carbon intensity associated with freight movement.

For Bombay Logistics, the transition to LNG is aimed at finding a practical alternative-fuel solution that can deliver both operational and environmental benefits in real-world commercial applications.

Thimmaraj Kakarla, Managing Partner, Bombay Logistics, said the performance and fuel efficiency of the Blue Energy Motors trucks were key considerations in the deployment.

He also highlighted the support provided by Blue Energy Motors during the vehicle handover, route planning and on-ground deployment, saying it helped make the transition to LNG-powered freight operations seamless.
