Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar Unveil Special Dutch GP Helmet Designs Ahead of Zandvoort Finale
Zandvoort, Netherlands, August 17, 2026: Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar will celebrate the Dutch Grand Prix with special helmet designs paying tribute to their Dutch GP memories, heritage and the iconic Zandvoort circuit, which is set to leave the Formula 1 calendar after this year’s event.
Max Verstappen pays tribute to Dutch fans with Delft Blue-inspired helmet
Home hero Max Verstappen will wear a special Dutch Grand Prix helmet featuring intricate floral motifs and a blue-and-white colour scheme inspired by the world-famous Delft Blue pottery.
The design celebrates Dutch craftsmanship and heritage while also serving as a tribute to the unwavering support Verstappen has received from fans at his home race.
A Dutch lion features prominently on the crown of the helmet, adding another symbol of national pride to the design. The helmet also commemorates Verstappen’s impressive record at Zandvoort, where he has won the Dutch Grand Prix three consecutive times in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
With Zandvoort set to leave the Formula 1 calendar, the special design also marks the end of an important chapter in Dutch motorsport.
Verstappen will complement the helmet with a special race suit featuring orange detailing and a stripe running down the leg. His boots will also feature design elements that match the helmet.
Isack Hadjar celebrates maiden F1 podium at Zandvoort
Isack Hadjar will also arrive at the Dutch Grand Prix with a special helmet, race suit and boots celebrating one of the biggest milestones of his Formula 1 career.
Hadjar’s one-off helmet takes inspiration from the Delft Blue design of the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix trophy. The Frenchman finished third at last year’s race to claim his maiden Formula 1 podium.
Intricate Delft Blue artwork covers the helmet, paying homage to the Dutch pottery tradition and the trophy associated with Hadjar’s breakthrough F1 result.
The helmet also features illustrations of the broken trophy, referencing the memorable celebrations that followed his first Formula 1 podium.
Hadjar’s achievement made him the youngest Frenchman to finish on an F1 podium.
Adding a personal touch to the design is Hadjar’s signature anime character, which has featured regularly on his helmets. The character is depicted celebrating his maiden podium, combining Hadjar’s passion for anime with one of the defining moments of his racing career.
Both Verstappen and Hadjar’s special designs are set to add an extra visual highlight to the Dutch Grand Prix as Zandvoort prepares to host Formula 1 for its final scheduled appearance.
