Škoda Auto India Posts Record H1 2026 Sales, Grows 7.5% to 38,894 Units

Mumbai, India, July 1, 2026: Škoda Auto India has continued its strong growth trajectory in 2026 by recording its best-ever first-half sales, delivering 38,894 units between January and June 2026. The milestone represents a 7.5% year-on-year increase compared to the first half of 2025, marking the brand’s second consecutive record-breaking half-year in India.

The achievement builds on Škoda’s historic performance in 2025, which was its biggest sales year in the company’s 25-year journey in the Indian market. Having already set a record in H1 2025, the Czech automaker has now raised the bar further with even stronger sales performance in H1 2026.

Customer Demand Drives Growth Across Product Portfolio

Commenting on the milestone, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, credited the company’s success to increasing customer confidence, a strengthened product portfolio, and a customer-centric approach.

“Our record half-yearly sales reflect the growing confidence and trust customers place in the Škoda brand. In 2026, we have strengthened this connection through a focused product offensive, customer-first initiatives, and an unwavering commitment to excellence,” Gupta said.

He highlighted the strong market response to several models across the lineup. The updated Kushaq, refreshed Kodiaq, and the all-new Kodiaq RS have generated significant customer interest, with the limited-run Kodiaq RS selling out in just six minutes after bookings opened.

Meanwhile, the Kylaq continues to be a major volume contributor for the brand, while the Slavia sedan maintains its position as one of Škoda’s key offerings in the premium sedan segment.

Gupta added that the company remains committed to delivering differentiated products, transparent communication, and an enhanced ownership experience to ensure sustainable long-term growth in India.

Dealer Network Expands Beyond 340 Touchpoints

Supporting its sales growth, Škoda Auto India has significantly expanded its retail and service footprint across the country.

The automaker now operates more than 340 customer touchpoints, making its products and after-sales services more accessible to buyers nationwide.

The company has also introduced Škoda Express Care, a new service initiative aimed at improving customer convenience through faster servicing, greater transparency, and an enhanced ownership experience.

Motorsport Heritage Reinforces Brand Performance

Alongside its commercial success, Škoda Auto India has continued to showcase its motorsport DNA through performance-focused initiatives.

Recently, the company’s lineup—including the Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq, and the limited-edition Octavia RS—set an India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records title for the Fastest Multi-Car Relay of a Single Manufacturer on a Circuit.

The five-car relay completed the challenge, including driver changeovers, in a combined lap time of 12 minutes and 30.97 seconds at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore.

The record-setting feat also marked the launch of Škoda Auto India’s new campaign, “Greatest On A Track is a Škoda On A Track,” highlighting the brand’s engineering capabilities, dynamic performance, and motorsport legacy.

Škoda Maintains Strong Momentum in India

With record-breaking sales, an expanding dealer network, successful product launches, and continued investment in customer experience, Škoda Auto India has started 2026 on a strong note.

The company’s consistent growth indicates sustained demand across its SUV and sedan portfolio, positioning the brand to build on its record-breaking 2025 performance as it targets continued expansion in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
