Kia India Records Highest-Ever June Sales with 24,552 Units, Achieves Best First-Half Performance in H1 2026
New Delhi, India, July 1, 2026: Kia India has reported its highest-ever June sales since entering the Indian market, dispatching 24,552 units in June 2026. The company recorded a 19% year-on-year growth compared to 20,625 units sold in June 2025, reflecting sustained demand across its SUV, MPV and electric vehicle portfolio.
The strong monthly performance also helped Kia register its best-ever first-half (H1) sales, with wholesale dispatches reaching 163,749 units between January and June 2026. This represents a 15.2% increase over the 142,139 units sold during the same period last year.
Kia Achieves Record-Breaking First Half in India
The latest sales figures underline Kia India’s continued growth in one of the world’s most competitive passenger vehicle markets.
The automaker attributed its record performance to a well-balanced product portfolio spanning compact SUVs, mid-size SUVs, recreational vehicles, and electric mobility solutions, enabling it to strengthen its presence across multiple high-growth segments.
Kia also noted that rising customer demand for technology-rich, feature-packed and premium vehicles has continued to support the brand’s expansion.
New Seltos, Sonet and Carens Clavis Lead Growth
Commenting on the company’s sales performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, said the record-breaking June and first-half results reflected growing customer confidence in the Kia brand.
“Closing the first half of the year at a record high with best-ever June sales is a significant milestone for Kia India and reflects the trust customers continue to place in our brand,” Sood said.
He credited the company’s success to sustained demand for the new Seltos, Sonet, and Carens Clavis, while noting that the MY26 Syros has also received an encouraging response from customers.
Sood added that existing Kia owners upgrading to the new Seltos demonstrates the strength of the SUV’s product proposition.
Clavis EV Gains Momentum with BaaS Programme
Kia also highlighted the growing popularity of the Clavis EV, which continues to witness positive customer response amid improving government support for electric mobility.
According to the company, the recently introduced Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme has further enhanced affordability and accessibility, encouraging more buyers to consider electric vehicles.
The Clavis EV forms an important part of Kia India’s long-term strategy to expand its electric vehicle portfolio while making premium EV technology available to a wider customer base.
New Seltos Strengthens Mid-Size SUV Leadership
The recently updated Kia Seltos continues to be one of the company’s strongest performers.
Kia said the SUV has reinforced its position in the mid-size SUV segment through its refreshed design, connected technology features, and enhanced safety credentials.
The Seltos also boasts a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, making it the highest-scoring internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle tested under India’s crash safety programme.
Meanwhile, the Sonet maintained its position as one of Kia’s highest-volume models, while the Carens and Carens Clavis continued to attract family buyers looking for spacious and feature-rich mobility solutions.
The MY26 Kia Syros has also gained traction thanks to its improved value proposition and wider accessibility.
Expanding Nationwide Retail Network
Supporting its sales growth, Kia India has continued to expand its retail and after-sales network across the country.
The company now operates 892 customer touchpoints across 407 cities, providing extensive sales, service, and ownership support in both metropolitan and emerging markets.
Additionally, Kia has established 133 Certified Pre-Owned outlets, offering customers seamless vehicle exchanges, instant payments, and hassle-free ownership services.
Strong Momentum Heading into H2 2026
Following its strongest-ever June and record first-half performance, Kia India enters the second half of 2026 with strong momentum.
Backed by continued demand for its SUV lineup, growing interest in electric mobility, an expanding dealership network, and customer-focused initiatives such as Battery-as-a-Service, the company is well positioned to sustain its growth trajectory in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
