Tata Motors Launches Ace Gold+ XL in India, Marks 21 Years of Iconic ‘Chota Haathi’ with New Campaign

Bengaluru, India, May 06, 2026: Tata Motors has unveiled the all-new Tata Ace Gold+ XL, celebrating 21 years of its iconic small commercial vehicle (SCV), the Tata Ace. The launch underscores the company’s continued focus on strengthening last-mile mobility solutions and supporting India’s growing base of small entrepreneurs.

Tata Ace Gold+ XL: Built for Higher Payloads and Profitability

Designed for evolving intra-city logistics needs, the Ace Gold+ XL comes with an extended 8-foot load body and a 1-tonne payload capacity, enabling higher cargo volumes per trip. This translates into improved utilisation and increased earning potential for operators in demanding last-mile delivery cycles.

The vehicle is powered by a 700cc turbocharged diesel engine delivering 22 PS power and 55 Nm torque, ensuring reliable performance for urban transport operations. Notably, it incorporates Lean NOx Trap (LNT) technology, eliminating the need for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), thereby reducing maintenance complexity and overall operating costs.

Celebrating 21 Years of Tata Ace Legacy

Marking the milestone, Tata Motors has launched the ‘Ikkis Saal Bemisaal’ campaign, a nationwide initiative celebrating entrepreneurs who have built livelihoods around the Ace platform. The campaign includes customer-focused benefits, such as additional incentives of up to ₹21,000 for women entrepreneurs, reinforcing the company’s commitment to inclusive growth.

Introduced in 2005, the Tata Ace created India’s four-wheel SCV category and transformed last-mile logistics. The company highlighted a significant milestone—one Tata Ace sold every 4.25 minutes for over two decades, reflecting strong customer trust and widespread adoption among more than 26 lakh owners across India.

Strengthening Tata Motors’ SCV Ecosystem

The Ace Gold+ XL is part of Tata Motors’ broader SCV portfolio, which includes models such as Ace Pro, Ace, Intra, and Yodha, catering to payload requirements ranging from 750 kg to 2 tonnes across multiple fuel options—diesel, petrol, CNG, bi-fuel, and electric.

Customers will also benefit from Sampoorna Seva 2.0, the company’s lifecycle support programme, backed by a robust network of 2,500+ service and spares outlets and trained Star Guru technicians nationwide.
