Montra Electric SUPER AUTO FX Gets 15-Minute Rapid Charging in Three Cities

Bengaluru, India, October 29, 2026: Montra Electric has announced a 15-minute rapid-charging option for its SUPER AUTO FX electric passenger three-wheeler, powered by Exponent Energy’s rapid-charging technology. The service will initially be available in Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi NCR, where customers can access compatible charging hubs.

The collaboration aims to reduce charging downtime for drivers and help them spend more time on the road. According to Montra Electric, rapid charging remains uncommon in the L5M electric passenger three-wheeler segment, making the new option a key addition to the SUPER AUTO FX’s product offering.

The SUPER AUTO FX already offers a claimed true on-road range of more than 150 km. The addition of 15-minute rapid charging is intended to make the electric three-wheeler more practical for commercial use, particularly for drivers whose daily earnings depend on vehicle utilisation.

For passenger three-wheeler drivers, time spent waiting for a charge can mean lost fares. Montra Electric said the collaboration with Exponent Energy was developed around this challenge, reflecting its customer-first philosophy, ‘Pehle Aap’, and its belief in treating drivers with dignity and respect.

Montra Electric SUPER AUTO FX: Key features

Deependra Sharma, CEO – e-3W at Montra Electric (TI Clean Mobility), said the company focused on addressing one of the major concerns faced by its customers: the time spent waiting for a vehicle to charge.

He said the 15-minute charging option was designed to help drivers return to work sooner, rather than simply adding another feature to the vehicle.

The SUPER AUTO FX also offers a claimed range of more than 150 km on the road, 32% gradability and 60 Nm of torque. Other features include Hill Hold Assist, push-button starting, an in-cabin light and a 12V mobile charging socket.

Montra Electric lists a warranty of five years or 2.25 lakh km, as specified by the company. The manufacturer says the combination of range, performance, convenience and rapid charging is intended to improve the overall ownership proposition for commercial drivers.

Exponent Energy’s charging network supports rollout

Arun Vinayak, Founder and CEO of Exponent Energy, said the partnership builds on the companies’ earlier work in electric cargo three-wheelers and extends their collaboration into passenger mobility.

He highlighted Exponent Energy’s battery technology and city-wide charging network, along with its 2.25 lakh km battery warranty, as elements supporting the adoption of electric commercial vehicles.

SUPER AUTO FX customers will be able to access rapid charging through Exponent Energy’s network of more than 200 chargers across Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi NCR.

Earlier in October, Montra Electric, Exponent Energy and Exponent ONE introduced ONE Pass, a pay-per-use Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solution for Montra Electric’s three-wheelers. The offering is designed to align energy costs with vehicle usage, making electric mobility more practical for commercial operators.
