MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 2W Returns to Chennai with 130 Entries
Chennai, India, October 29, 2026: The MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 2W 2026 will resume at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai from October 30 to November 1, following a six-week break. The third round of the championship will feature 130 entries and a packed schedule of 18 races organised by the Madras Motor Sports Club.
With championship points at stake, riders will face the challenge of balancing consistent scoring with the need to push for race wins. The first two rounds have produced close contests across categories, with emerging young riders challenging established competitors and adding fresh excitement to the season.
Leading the charge among the younger competitors are three teenagers from Petronas TVS Racing — Pune’s Sarthak Chavan, Chennai’s Rakshith Dave and Bengaluru’s Chiranth Vishwanath. The trio occupy the top three positions in the premier Super Sport 301-400cc Open class.
Chavan has been particularly impressive, securing three wins from four starts. However, the absence of Hyderabad’s Rahil Pillarisetty, who races for RACR Castrol Power1, will be a significant talking point this weekend. Pillarisetty, who has demonstrated the pace and race craft to challenge the leading riders, will miss the round following surgery on his right arm after a crash in the TVS Electric RTE race during Round 2.
Kabilesh Rajini Krishnan Makes Super Sport Class Debut
Replacing Pillarisetty on the grid will be his 16-year-old teammate Kabilesh Rajini Krishnan from Chennai, son of 11-time National champion Rajini Krishnan.
Kabilesh will make his debut in the premier Super Sport 301-400cc Open class on a Yamaha R3 prepared by his father. The teenager arrives with an impressive record in his first full domestic season, having won three consecutive races across the first two rounds in the Super Stock 301-400cc class, where he currently leads the standings.
Another standout performer has been Chennai’s Ann Jennifer, a former women’s National champion who represents Motul Sparks Racing. She has won all four races in the Super Stock 165cc Intermediate class this season, beating more experienced male competitors in the mixed-gender field.
The Stock 301-400cc and Stock 165cc Novice categories have also delivered fierce competition, with multiple winners emerging across the first two rounds. Similar battles have unfolded in the Pro-Stock 200cc class, setting the stage for another competitive weekend in Chennai.
Petronas TVS One-Make Championship Showcases Emerging Talent
The Petronas TVS One-Make Championship continues to provide a platform for developing racing talent through its Expert, Rookie and Women categories. Riders are selected through nationwide trials and receive on-track training before competing in the championship.
The Expert category, featuring the TVS Apache RR 310, has seen Hyderabad’s Rajender Beedani and Chennai’s Kamal Navas secure two wins apiece.
In the Rookie category, which uses the TVS RTR 200, Bengaluru’s 16-year-old Dev Agastya and Telangana’s Vignesh Pothu from Mancherial have each won two races.
Bengaluru’s Poojitha Anil Kumar has emerged as a leading performer in the Women’s category, also contested on the RTR 200. She has won both races held so far this season, underlining her progress and potential.
Organisers Expect Competitive Weekend in Chennai
