VinFast India Signs LOIs with 50+ E-Motorcycle Dealers Across 15 States
Bengaluru, India, October 8, 2026: VinFast India has signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with more than 50 e-motorcycle dealer partners across 15 states and territories and 34 cities, marking a major step in the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer’s expansion into India’s electric two-wheeler market.
The LOIs were signed on October 8, 2026, at VinFast’s manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during a visit by the Indian dealer partners. The agreements will see VinFast and its partners establish more than 50 e-motorcycle showrooms across key markets in the country.
The planned network will cover regions across North, Central, West, South and East India. The states and territories include Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Odisha.
VinFast Targets Major Indian Two-Wheeler Markets
VinFast said the selected cities and regions represent large two-wheeler markets, offering significant potential for the electrification of mobility.
The company expects its expanded presence in these markets to make its electric two-wheelers more accessible to consumers looking for modern, economical and sustainable mobility solutions.
The dealer partners also visited VinFast’s manufacturing complex in Vietnam, where they were able to experience the company’s production scale and manufacturing standards, as well as the presence of VinFast electric motorcycles in the Vietnamese market. According to the company, the visit strengthened the partners’ commitment to expanding the brand’s Indian network.
Vo Thi Cam Tu, Managing Director of VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market, described India as one of the most important markets in the company’s global growth strategy.
“India is one of the most important markets in VinFast’s global growth story, and this partnership reflects the scale of ambition we hold for the region,” said Tu.
She added that India’s market size, growing demand for electric mobility and potential to reshape transportation make it an important market for VinFast’s international expansion.
VinFast to Build Charging and After-Sales Support
Alongside the dealer expansion, VinFast India says it is also working on charging infrastructure and after-sales services to support customers.
Anurag Saxena, CEO of VinFast India E-Scooters, said the network of more than 50 dealer partners across 15 states and territories and 34 cities represents the beginning of the company’s e-motorcycle expansion in India.
“Alongside, we are also building charging infrastructure and strengthening after-sales services to ensure that customers across these locations receive the support they need throughout their ownership journey,” said Saxena.
The combination of dealerships, charging infrastructure and after-sales support is expected to form the foundation of VinFast’s dedicated electric two-wheeler operations in the country.
First Dedicated VinFast E-Motorcycle Network in India
VinFast entered India’s green mobility market in 2025, with operations spanning the distribution, manufacturing and assembly of electric cars.
The latest dealer agreements mark a new phase in the company’s Indian operations and, importantly, represent VinFast’s first dedicated distribution network for e-motorcycle products in India.
India’s large two-wheeler market presents a significant opportunity for electric motorcycle and scooter manufacturers. According to figures cited by VinFast, 21.41 million two-wheelers were registered in India during fiscal year 2025-26, while electric vehicles accounted for 6.54% of the total.
VinFast believes the relatively low share of electric vehicles highlights the potential for further electrification of India’s two-wheeler market.
VinFast Expands Electric Vehicle Portfolio in India
VinFast is a subsidiary of Vietnam-based Vingroup and operates as a pure-play electric vehicle manufacturer. Its current portfolio includes electric SUVs, e-scooters and electric buses.
The company is pursuing further international expansion through the development of its distribution and dealership network and increased manufacturing capacity, with key markets across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
With more than 50 dealer partnerships now planned across 34 Indian cities, VinFast is positioning its e-motorcycle business for a broader rollout in one of the world’s largest two-wheeler markets.
