Hyundai India Records Highest-Ever Monthly Sales of 77,916 Units in September 2026

Gurugram, India, October 1, 2026: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has recorded its highest-ever monthly total sales since inception at 77,916 units in September 2026, registering a 10.8% year-on-year growth. The figure includes both domestic sales and exports and surpasses the company’s previous monthly sales record achieved in July 2026.

Hyundai Motor India reported domestic sales of 57,166 units in September 2026, representing a 10.9% YoY increase. Exports also recorded strong growth, with the company shipping 20,750 units, up 10.4% compared with September 2025.

The latest sales performance comes ahead of the festive season, with Hyundai expecting continued customer demand across its product portfolio.

The growth was broad-based across Hyundai India’s domestic and export operations, according to the company. HMIL said the performance reflects continued demand for its range of passenger vehicles and its focus on offering products for both Indian and international markets.

Commenting on the September 2026 sales performance, Tarun Garg, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “We are delighted to close September 2026 with our highest-ever total monthly sales of 77,916 units (domestic + exports), registering a healthy double-digit growth of 10.8% YoY.”

He added that the latest figure surpassed Hyundai India’s previous record achieved in July 2026, while growth across both domestic and export markets reflected the appeal of the company’s product portfolio.

Hyundai BAYON Bookings Open

Hyundai India is also heading into the festive season with bookings for the Hyundai BAYON, the company’s upcoming all-new nameplate for the Indian market.

The company expects customer interest during the festive period to be supported by its existing product portfolio as well as the opening of bookings for the BAYON.

“Going ahead, we are expecting sustained customer enthusiasm during the festive season, also supported by the opening of bookings for the Hyundai BAYON, our upcoming all-new nameplate for India,” Garg said.

With 77,916 units sold in September, Hyundai Motor India has set a new monthly sales benchmark since its inception, supported by double-digit growth in both domestic sales and exports.
