Formula E Unveils New Brand Identity Ahead of GEN4 Era

London, United Kingdom, September 23, 2026: Formula E has unveiled a new brand identity as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship prepares to enter a new era, with the introduction of its GEN4 race car, an expanded global calendar, a new streaming partnership with Disney+ and the E-PrixUnleashed race format among the major developments ahead.

The new Formula E identity is designed to reflect the championship’s evolution both on and off the track, with a visual language focused on speed, technology, competition and the growing intersection between motorsport and contemporary culture.

The rebrand comes ahead of the debut of the Formula E GEN4 race car in December. The championship is also entering its biggest global calendar to date, while its new partnership with Disney+ is expected to expand the series’ reach across streaming audiences.

At the centre of the new identity is an angular, motion-led Formula E logomark incorporating hidden “F” and “E” elements. The design is intended to communicate forward movement and speed, while a wider visual system introduces updated typography, colour palettes and high-energy motion graphics.

Formula E has also developed an updated broadcast graphics package aimed at improving clarity during high-speed, wheel-to-wheel racing.

The championship says the new identity has been developed to work across multiple platforms, including live events, television and streaming, social media and gaming. The objective is to create a more consistent and recognisable Formula E presence while positioning the championship beyond traditional motorsport audiences.

Formula E focuses on speed, technology and culture

The new Formula E brand identity is built around five strategic pillars: speed, technology and competition; cultural relevance; performance-driven sustainability; evolution for existing fans; and a platform for partners and host cities.

Formula E says the updated identity will place greater emphasis on performance and technology, presenting sustainability as a driver of innovation and speed rather than a compromise.

The championship also aims to use the new visual platform to connect with younger audiences through social media, streaming, gaming, live events and other areas of popular culture.

Ellie Norman, Chief Marketing Officer, Formula E, said the previous identity represented an earlier stage of the championship, while the new branding reflects its next phase of growth.

“Formula E is growing rapidly across every dimension; from the racing on track to our global audience and commercial partnerships. Our previous identity represented an earlier chapter; this brand refresh reflects exactly where we are going next,” said Norman.

“We believe progress should be thrilling. We are no longer asking people to imagine what the future of racing could be, we are showing them what it looks like. It is fast, competitive, technologically advanced and culturally relevant, and we want the world to experience it that way.”

The refreshed brand architecture incorporates a modernised logo, refined typography, dynamic colour schemes and motion graphics designed to give Formula E a more energetic visual presence.

GEN4 marks next major step for Formula E

The new identity arrives as Formula E prepares for the introduction of its GEN4 race car, which represents another major technical step for the all-electric championship.

The series continues to provide a competitive platform for major automotive manufacturers, with Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, Stellantis, Mahindra and Lola Cars among the manufacturers involved in Formula E.

With GEN4, a larger global calendar, E-PrixUnleashed and the Disney+ streaming partnership all forming part of its next phase, Formula E is using the 2026 season transition to reposition how the championship is presented to fans around the world.

The new brand identity will now become part of Formula E’s presence across its racing, broadcast, digital and commercial platforms as the championship moves towards its next generation of electric motorsport.
