Chennai, India, September 13, 2026: Pune teenager Sarthak Chavan completed a memorable double at the second round of the MRF Indian National Racing Challenge 2W – 2026, winning the premier Super Sport 301-400cc Open race at the Madras International Circuit on Sunday.

Chavan, riding for Petronas TVS Racing, started from pole but made a slow getaway, allowing teammate and Chennai rider Rakshith Dave to take the early lead. The two Petronas TVS Racing riders remained locked together through the race before Chavan made his decisive move on the final lap.

The Pune rider overtook Dave at Turn 4 and held on to take his second consecutive victory in the class. Hyderabad’s Rahil Pillarisetty (RACR Castrol Power1) produced one of the rides of the race, fighting his way up from the back of the grid to finish third, although the gap to the leading duo was too large to close.

The result gave Chavan a second win of the weekend and underlined his growing dominance in the premier 301-400cc category.

Kabilesh Rajini Krishnan completes Super Stock double

Sixteen-year-old Chennai rider Kabilesh Rajini Krishnan also completed a double in the Super Stock 301-400cc Open class.

After winning Race 1 on Saturday, the RACR Castrol Power1 rider returned to the top step in Race 2 on Sunday following a red-flag stoppage and restart. The race was reduced to a three-lap sprint, but Kabilesh controlled the shortened contest to take another convincing victory.

Bengaluru’s Seshadri S of Motul Gusto Racing finished second, while Chennai’s Kamal Navas of Rockers Racing completed the podium.

Ann Jennifer remains unbeaten

Chennai’s Ann Jennifer continued her perfect start to the season in the Super Stock 165cc Intermediate class.

Riding for Motul Sparks Racing, Jennifer secured another victory to complete a weekend double and extend her winning streak to four races. She has now won every race contested in the class so far this season.

Another Chennai rider, Anandhu KK of Veedol C2 Racing, also completed a double in the Stock 301-400cc Novice class. His second victory came in a race shortened to four laps following a red-flag stoppage.

Faruk Ali Sohtun wins Stock 165cc Novice thriller

Faruk Ali Sohtun of Motul Sparks Racing produced a standout performance in the Stock 165cc Novice class, overcoming a close finish to claim victory.

The rider from East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, kept his composure under pressure to lead a Motul Sparks Racing podium sweep. Yashwant Varma from Visakhapatnam finished second, while Raja Sreeharsha Singamsetty of Tadipatri, Andhra Pradesh, took third.

Venkatesan Iyyappan wins Pro-Stock 200cc Open finale

The final race of the weekend delivered plenty of drama in the Pro-Stock 200cc Open class, with Venkatesan Iyyappan emerging victorious after a six-lap battle.

Around half a dozen riders exchanged the lead during the race before Iyyappan finally broke clear. The contest became even more dramatic on the final lap when a couple of riders fighting for the win crashed, allowing Iyyappan to secure a superb victory.

Petronas TVS Racing One-Make Championship

In the Petronas TVS Racing One-Make Championship, Chennai’s Kamal Navas secured his second win of the season in the Expert (RR 310) class.

The race was reduced to four laps and restarted following an on-track incident. Navas controlled the restarted race to finish ahead of fellow Chennai rider Manoj Yesuadiyan, with Coimbatore’s Hari Haran R completing the podium.

In the Rookie class for Apache RTR 200 motorcycles, Bengaluru’s Dev Agastya claimed his second victory of the season. Agastya held off Rehbar Islam Baktoo from Jammu & Kashmir and Coimbatore’s Godwin Clarence to take the win.

Chavan completed his successful weekend by adding another victory in the Electric RTE EV race. The Pune rider won the four-lap contest, with Bengaluru riders Chiranth Vishwanath and Savion Sabu finishing second and third respectively.
