Pune, India, September 2, 2026: Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV), the company behind Kinetic EV, is evaluating opportunities to expand its electric two-wheeler business into select international markets, as it looks to build on the growing momentum of its operations in India.

The Pune-based company is initially assessing opportunities in Turkey in Europe; Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in neighbouring markets; and Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt in Africa.

The proposed international expansion represents the next phase of Kinetic EV’s growth strategy, with the company evaluating markets that could offer potential for electric two-wheelers. The company is currently assessing regulatory frameworks, market opportunities, customer requirements and potential partnerships before establishing its international business.

Kinetic EV Expands Domestic Dealership Network

Kinetic EV’s international ambitions come as the company continues to expand its presence in the Indian market.

The company currently has 45 exclusive Kinetic EV showrooms operational across India, with another 40 outlets expected to become operational over the next two months.

Kinetic Watts & Volts has also issued 150 Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its exclusive dealership network. According to the company, the number of LOIs reflects strong interest from prospective dealership partners and growing confidence in the Kinetic EV brand.

The expanding domestic network is expected to provide a foundation for Kinetic EV as it develops its international business strategy.

Kinetic EV Targets Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

In Europe, Turkey has been identified as an initial market of interest for Kinetic EV.

The company is also evaluating neighbouring markets including Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, while its initial African expansion assessment covers Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt.

Kinetic Watts & Volts said the markets are being assessed based on factors including the potential for electric two-wheelers, the development of local EV ecosystems and opportunities to establish suitable distribution and partnership networks.

The company has not announced confirmed launch timelines or specific international product plans, with the current focus being on market evaluation and identifying appropriate partners.

Makarand Joshi to Lead International Business Development

To support its international growth plans, Makarand Joshi has joined Kinetic Watts & Volts to spearhead international business development.

Joshi brings more than two decades of experience in developing international markets for Indian automotive products, with experience spanning Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.

His background covers multiple automotive segments, including two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and tractors, as well as international market development, business expansion and distribution network development.

His appointment is expected to help Kinetic EV assess international opportunities and develop the partnerships and distribution infrastructure required for its global expansion plans.

Kinetic EV Aims to Build Global Electric Mobility Brand
