Ahmedabad, India, September 1, 2026: Tesla has opened a new Tesla-Approved Body Shop (TAB) in Ahmedabad, strengthening its after-sales support and ownership ecosystem in Gujarat. The facility will provide Tesla owners in Ahmedabad and surrounding regions with access to genuine parts, trained body repair technicians and collision repair carried out to Tesla standards.

The new Tesla-Approved Body Shop is expected to reduce repair downtime and offer greater convenience and peace of mind to Tesla owners in Gujarat. The Ahmedabad facility becomes the latest addition to Tesla’s approved body shop network in India, which now includes Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi and Ahmedabad.

Alongside the expansion of its after-sales network, Tesla is offering customers in Ahmedabad the opportunity to experience its latest electric SUVs through test drives and vehicle displays.

The electric SUV offers 2,138 litres of storage capacity and seating for five occupants, along with power-folding seats. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and offers a claimed range of up to 500 km on the WLTP cycle.

Tesla has priced the Model Y Premium RWD at ₹50,89,000, with financing options starting with a ₹6 lakh down payment and monthly EMIs from ₹39,990. Deliveries of the model began in India in July 2026.

Tesla Model Y L Gets Three-Row Seating

For customers looking for additional space and seating capacity, the Tesla Model Y L features a three-row, six-seat configuration and All-Wheel Drive.

The Model Y L offers enhanced headroom and legroom and provides up to 2,539 litres of cargo volume. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and offers a claimed range of up to 681 km (WLTP).

The Model Y L is priced from ₹61.99 lakh in India. Tesla’s financing option starts with a ₹6.5 lakh down payment, while monthly EMIs start at ₹49,990.

Tesla says both Model Y variants have received top safety ratings from several globally recognised safety organisations.

These include NHTSA and IIHS in the United States, Euro NCAP in Europe, ANCAP in Australia and New Zealand, and C-IASI in China.

The safety performance, combined with Tesla’s electric powertrain technology and advanced features, is aimed at positioning the Model Y as a premium electric SUV for Indian customers.
