Jack Miller to Leave Yamaha and Prima Pramac at End of 2026 MotoGP Season

Alcañiz, Spain, August 27, 2026: Yamaha has confirmed that Jack Miller will leave the manufacturer’s MotoGP project at the end of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship season, bringing his collaboration with the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team to a close.

Miller joined the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP project ahead of the 2025 season and has played an important role in Yamaha’s ongoing MotoGP development programme. The Australian rider’s experience and technical feedback have helped the Japanese manufacturer during a significant period of growth and transformation.

Yamaha said Miller’s technical expertise and experience have been particularly valuable as the manufacturer continues to develop its MotoGP package and strengthen its premier-class project.

Beyond his MotoGP commitments, Miller also represented Yamaha at the 2025 and 2026 Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, underlining his commitment to the manufacturer’s wider racing programme.

Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Paolo Pavesio praised Miller’s contribution, highlighting his technical understanding, openness to feedback and commitment to the team.

“Jack joined Yamaha at an important stage of our MotoGP project and immediately became a valuable contributor,” Pavesio said.

He added that Miller’s professionalism, enthusiasm and team spirit made him a highly valued member of the Yamaha MotoGP operation.

Pavesio also thanked Miller for representing Yamaha at the Suzuka 8 Hours alongside his MotoGP commitments, saying the manufacturer hopes their paths will cross again in the future.

Miller Focused on Finishing 2026 Strongly

Miller said he was grateful to Yamaha and Prima Pramac for the opportunity since the start of the 2025 MotoGP season.

The Australian rider said it had been rewarding to work with a group focused on building the project for the future and expressed pride in the role he played in that development.

“I still believe I have more to offer and more to achieve, and I’ll take that motivation with me into whatever comes next,” Miller said.

While his Yamaha future is now confirmed to be coming to an end, Miller stressed that his immediate priority remains the 2026 MotoGP season.

“There are still races left this season, and my full focus remains on finishing the year strongly with the team,” he added.

Prima Pramac Racing Team Principal Paolo Campinoti also paid tribute to Miller, describing the Australian as an important part of the team’s history.

Campinoti acknowledged that the end of the partnership was disappointing but said such decisions are part of MotoGP.

He also wished Miller and his family success for the future, adding that the door would always remain open for the rider at Prima Pramac.
