Maruti Suzuki Selects 6 Startups in 10th Accelerator Cohort to Drive AI and Automation Innovation

New Delhi, India, May 12, 2026: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced the selection of six startups under the 10th cohort of its flagship Accelerator Program, aimed at developing AI-driven and technology-led solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, safety, traceability, and customer engagement.

The selected startups — Goat Robotics, SheerDrive, Schijnenn Digital, GenbaNEXT, Swayatt Drishtigochar, and Swiftex — have been awarded paid Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to co-create solutions alongside Maruti Suzuki teams.

The newly selected startups will work on several strategic areas across Maruti Suzuki’s manufacturing and mobility ecosystem.

The company said the collaborations are expected to help improve plant safety, reduce product development timelines, strengthen material-level traceability, and enhance customer interactions at dealerships.

Commenting on the announcement, Hisashi Takeuchi said the startup collaborations will help the company modernise operations and become more future-ready as its business scales further.

According to the company, the AI-powered and automation-focused solutions will contribute to:

  • Improved manufacturing safety
  • Reduced design and development lead times
  • Better circularity and material traceability
  • Enhanced customer engagement tools for dealers

Takeuchi also reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting the Government of India’s Startup India initiative through innovation-driven partnerships and mentorship opportunities.

Over the last seven years, Maruti Suzuki has expanded its startup ecosystem through multiple innovation and incubation initiatives focused on future mobility and manufacturing technologies.

  • Onboarded 34 startups as long-term business partners

Launched in 2019, the program focuses on co-creating advanced mobility and automobile manufacturing solutions with growth-stage startups.

Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program

Started in 2020 in partnership with NSRCEL, the initiative supports early-stage mobility startups with mentorship and ecosystem access.

Mobility Challenge

Introduced in 2021, this platform allows mature-stage startups to showcase emerging mobility technologies and innovation solutions.

Nurture Program

Launched in 2023, Nurture is a pre-incubation initiative focused on supporting idea-stage startups.

The latest cohort under the Accelerator Program further highlights Maruti Suzuki’s increasing focus on AI, automation, predictive analytics, and digital transformation across its automotive operations in India.
