Hyundai Venue & Venue N Line Secure 5-Star BNCAP Safety Rating

Gurugram, March 30, 2026: Hyundai has raised the bar for safety in India’s highly competitive compact SUV segment, with the Hyundai VENUE and Hyundai VENUE N Line securing a coveted 5-star rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). The milestone, announced by Hyundai Motor India Limited on March 30, 2026, reinforces the automaker’s growing focus on delivering safer, technology-packed vehicles tailored to Indian road conditions.

The latest-generation VENUE twins impressed across multiple crash-test parameters, delivering strong protection for both adult and child occupants. Their performance not only highlights Hyundai’s engineering advancements but also sets a new benchmark for safety standards in the sub-compact SUV space—one of the most popular and fastest-growing segments in the country.

Welcoming the achievement, Nitin Gadkari praised Hyundai’s efforts to align with evolving safety expectations. He noted that the dual 5-star rating reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing vehicle safety while making advanced technologies more accessible to a wider section of Indian consumers.

Echoing this sentiment, Hyundai Motor India Limited Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg described the recognition as a testament to the brand’s unwavering focus on customer safety. He emphasized that the company remains committed to democratizing world-class safety technologies, while continuing to push the boundaries of quality, reliability, and innovation across its product portfolio.

At the core of this achievement lies a comprehensive safety package built into the all-new VENUE and VENUE N Line. The SUVs feature a reinforced body structure with extensive use of hot stamping and high-strength steel—accounting for 71% of the construction—to enhance crash protection and structural rigidity. Complementing this are over 65 safety features, including 33 offered as standard across all variants.

Key highlights include electronic stability control, hill-start assist, an electric parking brake with auto hold, a surround view monitor, six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring, and four-wheel disc brakes. Additional features such as a rollover sensor, electrochromic mirror with telematics controls, and three-point seatbelts for all passengers further elevate occupant safety and driver confidence.

Together, these technologies create a well-rounded safety ecosystem designed to offer peace of mind in real-world driving scenarios, from urban commutes to highway journeys.

Beyond safety, the all-new VENUE has also emerged as a commercial and critical success story for Hyundai in India. Since launch, the model has crossed the 1 lakh bookings milestone, underlining its strong appeal among buyers. Its popularity is further validated by a string of industry accolades, including honors from leading automotive platforms such as ACKO Drive, Autocar India, Zee Auto, TopGear India, TV9, and Car&Bike.
