Key styling additions include a signature front grille design, black rear door garnish, gloss-black alloy wheels with matching hub caps, a dual-tone black roof and a black-finished antenna. Body-side mouldings and an exclusive hood emblem further distinguish the special edition from the standard Fortuner.

The black exterior elements complement the SUV’s muscular design and commanding road presence, reinforcing its premium positioning.

Interior Features Include Ambient Lighting and Dual-Tone Upholstery

Inside, Toyota has introduced a dual-tone black and maroon colour scheme for the seats, complemented by matching black-and-maroon door trims. The cabin also receives ambient lighting and illuminated scuff plates, enhancing its visual appeal.

The Leader Edition adds convenience and safety-related equipment, including Auto Folding Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

These additions are intended to enhance everyday usability and provide customers with a more feature-rich ownership experience.

Toyota Fortuner Continues Its Premium SUV Legacy

According to Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Fortuner has sold more than 3.3 lakh units in India. Over more than 15 years, the SUV has established a strong presence in the premium segment, with its commanding design, robust performance, 4×4 capabilities and resale value contributing to its popularity.

Commenting on the launch, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President – Sales, Service and Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the Leader Edition builds on the Fortuner’s legacy through exterior enhancements and convenience features tailored to changing customer preferences.

Toyota said the new edition reflects its continued focus on evolving the Fortuner experience while retaining the attributes that have made the SUV an established name in the Indian market.

Toyota Offers Flexible Finance and Ownership Benefits

Alongside the new edition, Toyota is highlighting a range of finance and ownership support options for customers. These include funding plans of up to seven years, Toyota Smart Balloon Finance and pre-approved options for value-added services such as extended warranty coverage and Toyota Genuine Accessories.

The ownership package also includes five years of complimentary roadside assistance and a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, whichever comes first. Customers can extend the warranty coverage up to five years or 2,20,000 km, subject to applicable terms.

2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: Key Details

The latest Leader Edition focuses on visual differentiation and added convenience rather than a fundamental redesign of the Fortuner. With two transmission choices, three exterior colours and a revised combination of interior and exterior features, Toyota is expanding the SUV’s appeal to customers seeking a more distinctive version of its established premium offering.

Bookings open on October 12, 2026, with prices starting at Rs 36.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
