Chennai, India, September 7, 2026: Citroën India has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of new variants of the AircrossX and BasaltX, alongside the launch of the ë-C3X Extended with an increased driving range. The latest portfolio update is aimed at giving customers greater choice across performance, comfort, family practicality and electric mobility.

The new Citroën AircrossX and BasaltX variants are available with a choice of powertrains, including turbocharged and naturally aspirated petrol engines, while the naturally aspirated variants are also offered with CNG options. The company says the expanded range has been developed to cater to different customer requirements, particularly ahead of the festive season.

All three product updates are available across the Citroën India network from September 7, 2026.

New Citroën AircrossX and BasaltX Variants

The new AircrossX and BasaltX variants are designed to make different combinations of performance, comfort and convenience more accessible.

The new YOU Turbo variants bring turbocharged performance to a wider range of customers, with Citroën positioning them as an option for buyers looking for stronger drivability in both city and highway conditions.

Meanwhile, the new MAX Naturally Aspirated (NA) variants focus on comfort and convenience while retaining the simplicity of a naturally aspirated petrol powertrain. The NA variants are available with both petrol and CNG powertrain options.

Citroën says the expanded portfolio is intended to provide greater flexibility for customers looking for a family SUV, a more premium and comfortable vehicle, or a vehicle with stronger performance.
