June 19, 2026: MotoGP has taken a major step towards securing its long-term future after confirming that all five current manufacturers—Aprilia, Ducati, Honda, KTM and Yamaha—have signed a historic agreement that will define the championship’s framework from 2027 to 2031.
The landmark deal, announced jointly by MotoGP Group and the manufacturers through the Motorcycle Sports Manufacturers Association (MSMA), marks the first time in MotoGP history that all participating manufacturers have agreed to a single long-term framework covering a five-year period.
The agreement guarantees the continued presence of all current manufacturers on the MotoGP grid and establishes a shared vision aimed at strengthening the sport’s sporting, technical and commercial foundations. It also reinforces MotoGP’s commitment to maintaining competitiveness, technological innovation and global fan engagement as the premier class of motorcycle racing enters a new era.
According to MotoGP Group, the deal is the result of extensive negotiations focused on balancing the interests of all stakeholders while ensuring sustainable growth and long-term stability for the championship.
Alongside the manufacturers’ agreement, MotoGP has also reached principal terms with its 11 teams for the 2027-2031 cycle, with a formal announcement expected in the coming months. Together, these agreements will shape the regulatory, commercial and sporting landscape of MotoGP’s next chapter.
Focus on Growth, Innovation and Safety
MotoGP, the manufacturers, teams and the governing body FIM are also collaborating on future technical and sporting developments designed to enhance safety, improve racing quality and strengthen the overall fan experience.
The championship plans to continue investing heavily in global promotion, commercial development and fan engagement initiatives, reflecting a collective ambition to expand MotoGP’s worldwide reach and increase its value for partners, stakeholders and supporters.
Ezpeleta: A Defining Moment for MotoGP
