Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup 2026 Registrations Open As Royal Enfield Introduces New GT-R750 Race Prototype
Bengaluru, India, May 25, 2026: Royal Enfield has officially opened registrations for the sixth edition of the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup 2026, promising a bigger and more competitive season with the debut of the all-new GT-R750 race prototype for professional riders.
Presented by JK Tyre, the 2026 edition of the one-make racing championship will feature separate grids for professional and amateur riders for the first time since 2022, while also offering a prize pool of ₹20 lakh, making it one of India’s most rewarding manufacturer-backed motorcycle racing series.
The biggest highlight this season is the introduction of the GT-R750 race prototype, developed specifically for the professional category. Built on an entirely new platform, the motorcycle has been engineered to deliver improved agility, sharper performance and enhanced rider feedback on the racetrack.
The GT-R750 features race-tuned suspension and braking systems, lightweight twin stainless-steel race exhausts and a new aerodynamic race fairing aimed at improving straight-line speed and rider ergonomics. Amateur competitors, meanwhile, will continue racing on the proven GT-R650 platform that has been central to the Continental GT Cup over the last five seasons.
Royal Enfield said the championship continues to follow its ‘Street to Track’ philosophy, giving aspiring racers an accessible entry point into circuit racing. Riders only need a valid driving licence to register and participate in the selection process. The championship has steadily grown in popularity, with the previous season attracting nearly 6,000 registrations and over 560 riders attending zonal selection rounds across the country.
The 2026 season will include zonal selections and track school sessions in Guwahati, Delhi NCR, Pune and Bengaluru during May and June. Shortlisted riders will receive expert training before being evaluated on lap times. Final rider selections are scheduled to take place at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore from June 18 to 21.
The championship itself will unfold across three rounds later this year, with races scheduled in August, September and November at the Coimbatore circuit. Registrations for the Continental GT Cup 2026 remain open until May 31.
Royal Enfield launched the Continental GT Cup in 2021 with the aim of making track racing more inclusive and approachable for Indian motorcycling enthusiasts. The championship is supported by the Royal Enfield Track School, which provides structured rider training and race preparation. The GT Cup also forms part of Royal Enfield’s larger global motorsport programme, which includes flat track racing initiatives in the UK and USA, Build. Train. Race. in America and slide schools across multiple countries.
