Kia India Records Highest-Ever Monthly Wholesales at 33,462 Units in October 2026
New Delhi, India, November 2, 2026: Kia India recorded its highest-ever monthly wholesales in October 2026, selling 33,462 units and registering a 13.22% year-on-year growth over the 29,556 units sold in October 2025. The latest performance also marks the second consecutive month in which the automaker has surpassed its previous monthly sales record, following 32,017 units in September 2026.
The company’s cumulative wholesales for January-October 2026 stood at 2,86,470 units, representing a 21.31% increase over the corresponding period last year. Kia India has already exceeded its full-year calendar 2025 wholesales of 2,80,286 units, with two months remaining in the year.
The October performance was supported by festive-season demand and contributions from established models as well as newer additions to the portfolio. The Kia Seltos and Sonet continued to be key contributors, with the Seltos alone recording sales of over 13,000 units during the month. Since its launch in January 2026, the SUV has averaged monthly sales of more than 10,000 units.
The Carens and Carens Clavis also continued to strengthen Kia’s presence in the family mobility segment. Meanwhile, the Kia Sorento, available with Hybrid and Diesel powertrain options, received an encouraging response from customers, adding to the company’s presence in the premium SUV category.
Kia India also reported its highest-ever monthly electric vehicle sales in October 2026, registering 31% month-on-month growth. The Syros EV and Carens Clavis EV contributed to this performance. The company’s CNG offerings also gained traction, with the Carens and Carens Clavis CNG variants together accounting for close to 10% of overall October sales.
The contribution from electric and CNG models highlights the growing role of alternative powertrains in Kia India’s portfolio. The company currently offers customers a choice of petrol, diesel, CNG, hybrid and electric powertrains as part of its multi-powertrain strategy.
Commenting on the performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said the company had surpassed its previous monthly sales record within a month, reflecting customer confidence in its products. He attributed the October performance to festive demand, the continued contribution of established models and the response to newer offerings. Sood also highlighted the customer response to the Sorento’s technology and Hybrid powertrain, along with the contribution of CNG and EV models to overall sales.
Beyond its product portfolio, Kia India is strengthening its ownership proposition through initiatives such as the expanded Assured Buyback Programme. The programme now covers eligible ICE, Hybrid and EV models, offering assured residual values of up to 75% for ICE and Hybrid vehicles and up to 70% for EVs. The benefits are subject to applicable terms and conditions, with flexible tenure and mileage options.
For EV customers, Kia India also offers a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty and Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) for eligible models. These initiatives are aimed at improving long-term ownership confidence and making electric mobility more accessible.
Kia India’s retail and service network now spans 925 touchpoints across 438 cities, supported by 144 Certified Pre-Owned outlets. The company said its expanding product range, ownership programmes and nationwide network will continue to support its growth and customer experience initiatives in India.
