Yokohama India Launches Made-in-India GEOLANDAR A/T with White-Letter Styling

New Delhi, India, October 7, 2026: Yokohama India has introduced the GEOLANDAR A/T all-terrain tyre with Outline White Letter (OWL) styling in the Indian market, adding a more distinctive and rugged look for SUV and utility vehicle owners. The 15-inch GEOLANDAR A/T is manufactured locally at Yokohama India’s facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The new GEOLANDAR A/T with white-letter styling is aimed at SUV enthusiasts looking to enhance the visual appeal of their vehicles while retaining the all-terrain character associated with the GEOLANDAR range. The contrasting white lettering on the sidewall gives the tyre a more expressive appearance and complements the rugged styling of SUVs and utility vehicles.

The 15-inch GEOLANDAR A/T is suitable for a range of vehicles, including the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Mahindra Bolero. The new Outline White Letter design is intended to appeal particularly to owners who view their SUVs as part of an active and adventure-oriented lifestyle.

Commenting on the introduction, Gaurav Mahajan, Head of Marketing and OE Sales, Yokohama India, said that SUV ownership is increasingly connected with individuality, adventure and personal expression.

“For today’s SUV owner, driving is increasingly part of a broader motoring lifestyle, where the vehicle reflects a sense of individuality, adventure and personal expression. The GEOLANDAR A/T is designed to complement that mindset, bringing a more distinctive and rugged character to the vehicle,” said Mahajan.

He added that the tyre is aimed at enthusiasts who see their SUV as more than just a means of transportation and want its individual elements to reflect their passion for motoring and an outdoor-oriented lifestyle.

Made-in-India GEOLANDAR A/T

The GEOLANDAR A/T was previously available in India through imports. Yokohama India is now producing the tyre locally at its Visakhapatnam manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, marking a shift towards local production of the all-terrain tyre for the Indian market.

The new 15-inch GEOLANDAR A/T Outline White Letter variant is currently offered in two sizes. Yokohama India also plans to expand the locally manufactured range, with 16-inch, 17-inch and 18-inch sizes expected to be introduced in 2027.

The move comes as the Indian SUV market continues to expand across both urban and lifestyle segments, with buyers increasingly looking for accessories and components that combine functionality with a more personalised appearance.

With its white-letter sidewall design and locally produced construction, the new GEOLANDAR A/T gives owners of SUVs such as the Jimny and Bolero another option to emphasise the rugged character of their vehicles.
