The new CNG variants retain the three-row configuration and family-focused positioning of the Carens and Carens Clavis. Kia says the factory-fitted CNG system has been designed for everyday commuting and family use while providing customers with an additional powertrain choice.

The Smartstream G1.5 engine in CNG configuration produces 96 PS and 123 Nm and is paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission on these variants.

Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Kia India, said the introduction of factory-fitted CNG variants is aimed at customers looking for an efficient and practical mobility solution.
