Oracle Red Bull Racing Announces Key Technical Restructuring to Boost Performance and Innovation

Milton Keynes, UK – April 17, 2026: Oracle Red Bull Racing has announced a series of strategic organisational changes within its technical department, reinforcing its focus on performance, innovation, and long-term competitiveness in Formula One.

Ben Waterhouse Takes Expanded Leadership Role

As part of the restructuring, Ben Waterhouse has been appointed Chief Performance and Design Engineer, taking on expanded responsibilities across both design and vehicle performance. He will report directly to Pierre Wache, Technical Director of the team.

Waterhouse, who joined the Red Bull family in 2014 from BMW-Sauber, previously served as Deputy Technical Director at Scuderia Toro Rosso before becoming Head of Performance Engineering at Red Bull Racing in 2017. His new role is expected to enhance integration between design and performance divisions, accelerating the development of competitive, high-performance solutions.

Andrea Landi to Join as Head of Performance

From July 1, Andrea Landi will join the team as Head of Performance, reporting to Waterhouse. Landi brings significant Formula One experience, having previously held senior roles at Ferrari and VCARB (Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team).

His appointment is seen as a key move to further strengthen Red Bull’s vehicle performance capabilities and technical depth as the team continues to push for on-track success.

Focus on Talent and Technical Excellence

The restructuring reflects Red Bull Racing’s broader strategy of nurturing internal talent while also attracting top-tier expertise from across the Formula One ecosystem. By streamlining leadership and improving cross-functional collaboration, the team aims to maintain its competitive edge in an increasingly demanding and technologically advanced sport.
