Scania India Inaugurates New Bengaluru Office, Announces Axis Bank Financing Partnership
Bengaluru, April 16, 2026: Scania Commercial Vehicles India has inaugurated its new corporate office in Bengaluru, marking a significant step in strengthening its presence in India. The inauguration took place in the presence of Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India, underscoring the growing economic and industrial ties between the two nations.
The company reaffirmed that its Regional Product Centre (RPC) in Narasapura continues to remain fully operational, offering end-to-end capabilities and tailored solutions across key commercial vehicle segments.
Expansion Backed by New Financing Partnership
Building on the momentum of the recent launch of Scania Super in India, Scania also announced a white-label financing program in partnership with Axis Bank. The initiative aims to provide accessible and competitive financing options, enabling customers to invest in high-performance Scania trucks with greater ease.
This move comes as the commercial vehicle industry increasingly focuses on uptime, operational efficiency, and long-term business resilience.
Bengaluru Office to Drive Growth and Innovation
Located in the heart of Bengaluru, the new office is designed to enhance collaboration, accelerate decision-making, and strengthen engagement with customers, dealer partners, financial institutions, and stakeholders. It will also act as a hub for attracting top talent and fostering innovation, aligning with Scania’s strategy to build a more agile and locally responsive organization.
The workspace reflects the company’s “Scania Way” and Swedish design philosophy, incorporating open layouts, collaborative zones, and sustainability-focused elements such as energy-efficient systems and eco-friendly materials.
Leadership Highlights Strategic Importance of India
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Jan Thesleff emphasized that the inauguration reflects Scania’s confidence in India’s long-term growth and highlights the deepening partnership between Sweden and India across trade, innovation, and sustainability.
Silvio Munhoz, Managing Director of Scania India, noted that the new office strengthens the company’s ability to stay closer to customers while enhancing execution speed and operational capabilities. He also highlighted the continued role of the Narasapura RPC and the importance of the Axis Bank partnership in enabling customer growth.
Martin Stahlberg, Senior Vice President for Asia and Oceania at Scania, described India as a strategically critical market for the company’s global growth, adding that the new Bengaluru office reinforces Scania’s long-term commitment to the region.
Munish Sharda, Executive Director at Axis Bank, stated that the partnership will combine Scania’s product strength with structured financing solutions to support fleet expansion and sustainable growth in the commercial vehicle sector.
