India Yamaha Motor Announces Voluntary Recall of Over 3 Lakh 125cc Scooters
New Delhi: India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. (IYM) has announced a voluntary recall campaign covering 3,06,635 units of its 125cc scooter range, reinforcing the company’s commitment to customer safety and product quality.
The recall applies to Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid scooters manufactured between May 2, 2024, and September 3, 2025, and comes into effect immediately.
According to Yamaha, the initiative has been launched to address a potential issue with the front brake caliper, which may exhibit limited functionality under certain operating conditions in select units. As a precautionary measure, Yamaha will replace the affected part free of charge for all customers whose scooters are covered under the recall.

India Yamaha Motor stated that customer safety continues to be its highest priority, and the voluntary recall reflects its proactive approach to ensuring optimal vehicle performance and rider confidence.
How Customers Can Check Recall Eligibility
Owners of Yamaha 125cc scooters can verify whether their vehicle is impacted by visiting the India Yamaha Motor official website. Under the Service section, customers should select Maintenance and click on Voluntary Recall Campaign, then enter their chassis number in the Scooter 125 category to view eligibility and next steps.
Alternatively, customers may visit their nearest authorised Yamaha dealership for assistance.
