Tata Motors Launches XPRES Petrol and CNG Fleet Sedans in India; Prices Start at ₹5.59 Lakh

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles expands XPRES portfolio beyond EV, strengthens multi-powertrain strategy for fleet operators

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV), one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, has launched the Tata XPRES in Petrol and CNG, significantly expanding its purpose-built fleet portfolio beyond the popular XPRES EV. The move is aimed at addressing a larger share of India’s professional mobility market while reinforcing Tata Motors’ multi-powertrain strategy for fleet customers.

Bookings for the Tata XPRES Petrol and CNG are now open across authorised fleet dealerships, with prices starting at ₹5.59 lakh for the Petrol variant and ₹6.59 lakh for the CNG variant (ex-showroom Delhi), positioning it among the most competitively priced fleet sedans in the country.

Engine, Performance and Fleet-Focused Engineering

The Tata XPRES Petrol and CNG variants are powered by Tata Motors’ proven 1.2-litre Revotron engine, paired with a manual transmission. Engineered specifically for high-uptime commercial usage, the new XPRES variants prioritise reliability, durability and low operating costs for professional fleet operators.

A key highlight is the first-in-segment 70-litre (water capacity) twin-cylinder CNG fuel tank offered on the XPRES CNG—the highest capacity in its segment. The intelligent twin-cylinder packaging ensures best-in-segment, uncompromised boot space, directly addressing one of the biggest challenges faced by fleet operators: luggage-related booking losses.

The petrol variant offers a class-leading boot space of 419 litres, making it the largest in the petrol fleet sedan segment and ideal for airport transfers and intercity operations.

Strengthening the Tata XPRES Fleet Line-Up

Commenting on the launch, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said the XPRES range was developed to solve real-world challenges faced by fleet owners and passengers alike.

He highlighted that the introduction of the 70-litre twin-cylinder CNG variant with usable boot space, alongside a petrol variant with the largest boot in its segment, reinforces Tata Motors’ commitment to delivering practical, revenue-maximising solutions. Built on the trusted Revotron powertrain and supported by long-term warranty, tailored finance and dedicated fleet dealerships, the XPRES range now offers a complete mobility platform across EV and ICE powertrains.

Warranty, Running Costs and Ownership Benefits

To enhance peace of mind for operators, the XPRES Petrol and CNG fleet sedans come with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km, extendable up to 5 years or 1,80,000 km. With a low maintenance cost of just ₹0.47 per km and attractive finance options tailored specifically for fleet customers, the Tata XPRES positions itself as one of the best value propositions in the fleet sedan segment.

Dedicated Fleet Dealerships and Use Cases

Further strengthening its fleet ecosystem, Tata Motors has established exclusive, fleet-focused dealerships across select cities, offering dedicated sales and service infrastructure for commercial customers. These outlets are designed to ensure faster turnaround times, higher vehicle availability and consistent lifecycle support.
