HP Unveils EliteBook X G2 Series, Next-Gen AI Business Laptops Honoured at CES 2026

HP Inc. has unveiled the HP EliteBook X G2 Series, its next-generation lineup of premium business laptops designed for leaders navigating the future of work in the AI era. The new series has also been recognised as a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree, underlining HP’s focus on intelligent, secure and ultra-mobile computing for modern professionals.

Part of HP’s broader EliteBook X portfolio, the G2 Series delivers future-ready AI performance, enterprise-grade security and lightweight designs tailored to diverse leadership roles and workstyles.

Rising Work Demands Drive Need for AI-Ready Devices

According to HP’s latest Work Relationship Index, expectations at work are rising sharply. The study reveals that 62% of desk-based workers say expectations have increased over the past year, yet only 20% feel they have a healthy relationship with work. As professionals juggle more tools, data and AI-driven workflows, they continue to prioritise battery life, speed and reliability—without compromises.

Copilot+ PCs with Multi-Processor Choice

The HP EliteBook X G2 Series marks a first for HP by offering AMD, Intel and Qualcomm processor options on the same platform, giving enterprises greater flexibility. The laptops are available in Glacier Silver, Atmospheric Blue and Eclipse Gray, with all colourways offered across configurations.

As Copilot+ PCs, the new EliteBook models combine high-performance NPUs, all-day battery life, enterprise security and sustainability credentials, including EPEAT 2.0 Gold registration.

AI Performance Across Variants

• HP EliteBook X G2q: Powered by up to the latest Snapdragon® X2 Elite processor, it becomes the world’s first business notebook with up to 85 TOPS NPU performance, enabling seamless concurrent AI workloads.
• HP EliteBook X G2i: Equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, offering up to 50 TOPS NPU and 180 platform TOPS for graphically intensive AI applications.
• HP EliteBook X G2a: Features the latest AMD Ryzen™ AI processors with up to 55 TOPS NPU for significantly faster AI performance.

Smarter, Lighter and More Secure

The EliteBook X G2 Series integrates HP Smart Sense, which dynamically adjusts power, thermals and system performance in real time. The EliteBook X Flip G2i adds versatility with laptop, tent, tablet and stand modes, along with an optional garaged pen.

Security remains a core focus, with HP Wolf Security for Business providing hardware-enforced, quantum-resistant protection below, in and above the OS—even when devices are offline. Select models weigh under 1 kg, feature all-day battery life, and offer vivid 3K Tandem OLED displays.

Designed with IT teams in mind, the laptops also improve serviceability through a new top-mount design that can reduce keyboard replacement time by up to 80%, supporting faster repairs and redeployment.
