McLaren Racing Announces Freshworks as Official Partner to Drive IT Excellence in Formula 1
McLaren Racing has entered into a multi-year partnership with Freshworks, a leading software company known for its enterprise-grade yet intuitive IT solutions. As part of the collaboration, Freshworks joins as an Official Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team, enhancing the team’s off-track operations through smart IT service management.
The partnership will see McLaren Racing integrate Freshservice, Freshworks’ AI-powered ITSM solution, to modernize and streamline the team’s IT infrastructure. This move is aimed at boosting productivity and operational efficiency as the team manages complex logistics and service requests during a demanding global racing calendar.
With Freshservice now embedded into McLaren’s systems, the team will benefit from faster and smoother IT service delivery, even when personnel are dispersed across continents during race weekends. The solution promises to eliminate unnecessary complexity, reduce downtime, and enable McLaren’s IT department to resolve issues with minimal friction—allowing engineers and team members to stay focused on performance.
Commenting on the announcement, Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, said:
“Boosting our efficiencies off the track is a key factor in improving our performance on it. With industry-leading partners such as Freshworks, we’re able to do just that, and I’m delighted to welcome them to the team.”
The partnership also brings prominent Freshworks branding to McLaren’s Formula 1 cars and team kit, beginning with this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix, and will continue throughout the remainder of the 2025 season and beyond.
Dennis Woodside, CEO of Freshworks, expressed his enthusiasm:
“We partner with McLaren Racing to optimize their IT operations, enhancing their critical support for winning performance. Our enterprise-grade solutions are designed for ease of implementation, use, and configuration, accelerating McLaren IT’s capabilities with AI. We’re proud to deliver intuitive software that directly supports their mission to eliminate complexity on and off the track.”
The collaboration between McLaren and Freshworks signifies a growing synergy between technology and motorsport, where intelligent IT solutions play a vital role in supporting elite-level competition. As Formula 1 teams increasingly rely on data-driven decision-making and seamless operations, partnerships like these are becoming essential in the race for both speed and efficiency.
