Austin, USA, October 21, 2026: MotoGP will bring its high-performance racing machines to the FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2026 at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), with four premier-class motorcycles set to perform a high-speed demonstration in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, October 24.
The showcase marks the first time MotoGP will feature on-track demonstrations and fan activations during a Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend, creating a unique opportunity to introduce the sport to a massive international audience. More than 400,000 fans are expected to attend the United States Grand Prix weekend.
Capable of exceeding speeds of 225 mph (362 km/h) and achieving lean angles of more than 60 degrees, MotoGP bikes represent the pinnacle of motorcycle racing technology. The demonstration will also highlight the distinctive sound of the machines, which can generate more than 130 decibels.

Four prominent riders will participate in the demonstration at the iconic Austin circuit. MotoGP Hall of Fame inductee Dani Pedrosa will ride for KTM, while reigning WorldSBK World Champion Nicolo Bulega will represent Ducati. Yamaha MotoGP test rider Andrea Dovizioso and Lorenzo Savadori of the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team complete the line-up.
The demonstration is scheduled for 11:40 am to 12:00 pm CDT on Saturday, October 24, ahead of Formula 1 Free Practice 3. The riders will complete high-speed laps, giving F1 fans an opportunity to experience the performance, sound and agility of a premier-class motorcycle up close.
The event comes as the MotoGP World Championship competes in Australia on the same weekend, allowing the championship to connect with one of the biggest audiences in American motorsport.
MotoGP Builds Momentum Ahead of 2027 US Grand Prix
Alongside the on-track demonstration, MotoGP will host a dedicated activation in the COTA Fan Zone throughout the weekend. The display will feature all four motorcycles, offering fans an opportunity to get closer to the machines and learn more about the championship.
MotoGP teams and riders will be present at the circuit from Thursday through Sunday as the championship builds anticipation for its return to Austin in 2027. The 2027 Grand Prix of the United States is scheduled for April 23-25 at Circuit of The Americas.
Dani Pedrosa, a three-time Grand Prix world champion across the 125cc and 250cc categories, highlighted the significance of the occasion.
“It’s always special to ride a MotoGP bike at COTA, one of the most iconic circuits in the world,” Pedrosa said.
He added that the United States Grand Prix attracts an incredible crowd and offers an opportunity to showcase what makes MotoGP exciting, particularly the speed, sound and performance of its motorcycles.
